Here is what I am proposing to get us through until Breaking Dawn:
My plan is to hold our meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month, unless I let you know otherwise. We always appreciate volunteer hostesses, but NO pressure.
Unlike my style in many other areas, I am actually willing to consider other ideas for this schedule. If you have a great alternate plan, please let me know. It doesn't mean I will use it, but I do promise to think about it. Harsh? Well you should have seen me when someone else was googling MY Edward-Gap-Model-picture.
I very typically digress. How about this:
April - Book Review: read and review a book other than Twilight. Everyone would have something different to share and would give us something to look forward to reading, if we ever need something else.
May - Breaking Dawn theories: I would like to start BD theory posts until then. We can recap it all and add more.
June: - The Host: discuss the Host, and of course, the first chapter of BREAKING DAWN!!!!!!! See what our theories are after reading that chapter. Breathe, breathe.
Also begin reading the Twilight Saga together and discussing chapter by chapter on-line.
July - CSP: maybe another Cyber Slumber Party? July is always a busy month. Maybe we will just continue our chapter discussions on-line.
August: Breaking Dawn reactions: well I just don't know how to handle this one.
Some ideas:
- Read it together starting at midnight Aug.1 - has some logistical problems.
- Read it on our own and then meet the evening of Aug. 2 to discuss our reactions - assuming everyone will have finished by then.
- Give people a few more days to digest it, and hold a special BD review party asap.
- Read it the 2nd time through with a chapter discussion on-line. (this is kind of an extra option and I really like it.)
Really I can't find the perfect BD scenario so, help!

I love the schedule! I forgot to mention that I was pleasantly surprised to find new posts on a Monday!! Where do you ever find the time?
Sounds good! By July I'll be so used to getting up early for work that I should be able to join you for the CSP no matter how early you start! :)
Question: Has everyone decided to read The Host then? I haven't made up my mind about it yet.
Another question: Is that April Book Review open to any genre or are you wanting us to stick to fantasy or vampires or romance, etc?
Ruth, I won't officially answer any questions (that's for TM to do)...but I'm pretty sure the April genre is anything.
And I think I really want to read the Host. I read that except you know back on Valentine's I think it was - it was weird and a little out there, but I thought...'that's what I thought about these vampire books' - so I think I'll give it a try! Apparently her family says it is her best novel!
I'm still not open to reading any other books as of yet.I'm being a little too selective and narrow minded still. Especially being on a TA blog, it just seems out of element to read anything else but the Twilight books! lol
I do realize that a day must come when we have to read something else, and if MA wants us all to read the Host then I will of course.Whatever book everyone decides to read next I will go along as well.
Man do I sound like I'm being overly sensitive about this or what?
Jenn I want you to know I am seriously considering your serious words.
They have me revamping (ha, ha, get it, that was unintentional, revamping, ha, ha) my plan.
I'll let you know.
BTW, BTY - I read one and listened to another book this long weekend. It wasn't as painful as I had imagined. I rather liked them.
But well, I don't even need to say what I was going to say do I? About other books and Twilight. Along the lines of: What other books have caused you to join a fan-club? Hmmm?
Any book genre, Ruth. It would be great to have some suggestions from you.
And yes we are all reading the Host. Right? We are doing it mostly to support Steph. I haven't been tempted enough by it to even finish the posted part online. But since I have already paid for the book and am going to a discussion about the book, led by SM herself, I figure I'd better read it. I really want it to be successful for her sake.
Were you tempted at all by the online preface/chapter excerpt?
I liked the excerpt because I really couldn't see myself sympathizing with both the alien and the human, and SM was able to make that possible. The prologue was hard for me to get, but the chapter excerpt I liked. So, basically, I trust SM.
After all, as was already mentioned, I thought vampires & werewolves sounded weird. And now look at me.
And the meeting plan sounds good to me!
Um. . .did know one see my "revamping" joke? 'Cause it was pretty cool.
And I am going to change the schedule. We will meet in April but not to do a book review. We will up the Breaking Dawn theories subject, so get them out.
Ooh!Ooh!(raising hand wildly) I saw it! I saw the revamp word you used!
look who's trying to be teacher's pet....lol j/k-ing...
