With only a week and a day left until the movie, can we stand the excitement? There are so many new interviews that I can't keep up anymore. Don't miss my new post about why.
Here is a gorgeous picture to get you through. Our next post will be the movie discussion!
See you at the movies.

Want a Voice?

Just some quick trivia for anyone crazy enough to care. Sometimes I am, sometimes I am not. Today I am and I voted on the MTV website for the name of Twilight fans everywhere (not that they own the rights to name us, but I bet it will stick, whatever the result is).

If you want to voice your opinion, here is a link to the Lexicon. They will guide you from there:
Would you rather be a Twi-hard or a Twilighter? I know stupid question considering the blog you are on right now reading this. But we try and tolerate all opinions.

I voted (Twilighter, of course), but I had to laugh at the person who didn't want to be called a Twi-hard because it reminded her of Trekkies, and she thought they were kind-of geeky.

Umm, yeah. You're right. It is so much less geeky to be obsessed with vampires & werewolves & foreign cars. HA!

Totally! Because we would never dress up as a vampire, right? Except that they wear what we wear, not the crazy all black like in some movies! I tried to vote twilighters, but it wouldn't accept my vote. I can't stand Twi-hard. It reminds me of twinkie, or tween. I think, and you can laugh, but Twilighters sounds more grown up. Stupid, I know, but I would hate to be mistaken for a 13-year old, giggly tween who is only reading it because Twilight is the new IT thing.

Oh much, much cooler. Twi-hard is pathetic. Sorry. Did you know I am opinionated. Would you associate Hobbits with geeks, no. Vampires are very hip. These anyway. I actually covet the style of these cold creatures.

Of course if the other label sticks, then it will be just for teeny-bopper fans.

So, I went to the link but I couldn't see where to vote. Is it at the bottom of the page where you can enter a comment or is there actually somewhere to pick from a poll list or something? I'm sure if I mess around a bit I'll figure it out.
Oh and, Twilighters of course. Twi-hards is quite lame.

Yes you just leave your vote as a comment. It was kind of scarying me because a lot of people were voting for, well, I can't even repeat it, but the other name.

Ok, I did it. Funny to see my name and vote at the end of that long list.
BTW, very cute picture of Ashley, she's going to be so lovely as Alice.

I voted - so not like me to branch out like that...it took awhile for me to decide to do it! But hey, I don't want to be called a Twi-hard! So good luck to us, huh?

I'm proud of you E. Funny because it was hard for me to decide to do it too. Kind of don't like to lump myself in with the teenage ga-ga croud. We have advanced to ga-ga-goo-goo!

Speaking of opinions, I read a couple negative reviews today written by one of my friends and one of my aunts, actually. They were not so inspired by TW as the rest of us. I can't even bring myself to say what else they wrote. But it was so sad to me. I wanted to write them an email about how it hurt my feelings. I know there are so many people out there that don't like this series. But can't they just keep it to themselves? I'm so glad I could get on here after reading all that negativity--this blog made me feel much better.

And yes, Twilighters for sure!

Trivia update:

Almost 2000 comments on that MTV site.

Ruth don't feel hurt. Really feel "sorry" for them. I am actually a little selfish with how I share my Twilight. I don't want to give it to someone who can't appreciate it. And the people that like/love the series outnumber the sad sorry few who didn't. Out number by incredible odds. I haven't personally met someone like that yet. Someone who actually didn't like the books, but maybe we could think of a way to help them with that problem. So sad, sad, sad.

Trish said...

Wow, yes that is so sad. It's hard enough for me when people don't love them like me, or critique things about them, let alone dislike them. Ugh.
Well, I'm very happy we all have this happy little place to come together and enjoy the sweetness of them.
I believe some people out there just have to be the radical or the contrarians (not a word?), it's just their personality (I know a few.) So I take that into consideration sometimes too.
Very, very sad for them all, but definitely in the minority, they are.

I just voted too - Twilighters, of course! Twi-Hard does remind me of Tweeners or something stupid like that. Heaven help us all if we ever get called that...

I just mean that I am a little geeky in my own obsession with TW. I DO, however, think a twilight obsession is much SEXIER than a star trek obsession.

Oh yes, indeed...
I say, embrace it, be proud of it...

Proud to be called a Twilighter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
