You know you are addicted to herion... I mean TW when,,,

I just got back from a cruise to Mexico,,,, Of course I carried all 3 TW books as well as the host, along with my shoes cuz my suitcase was too heavy... but that is a different story.

SO, you know you are addicted to TW when....

Instead of enjoying the sites and entertainment on the ship, I was too busy almost tripping down the stairs trying to see if the books that people were reading were TW... not only once, but many times.

you are in Cabo San Lucas looking at a menu in spanish and you don't understand anything,,, but you see "vampiros" on the menu and you don't care what it is, you have to order it. (it was actually very good and we ordered more)

You FREAK out in Mazatlan cuz you finally see a volvo (it has been like 4 days ya know) and that volvo is a tractor,,, but you are SO excited anyway.

You are on a truck... actually the back of a truck with 14 other people and even though you have 3rd degree burns on your arm and finger from the rope on the zip line, all you care about it making sure that EVERYBODY with you knows all about TW and how they HAVE to read it.

You donate your Twilight book to the ships library, because they don't have it there and you MUST share this with everybody possible.

You get into TW trivia debates with your sister and you have book in hand to prove her wrong, when you should be out dancing (you are on vacation, you know!)

You make a TW shrine on your nightstand with all your TW books and the host, making sure that nothing else is on there that could possible move the perfect way you have set up the books.

You shop for topaz or heart shaped crystals at the shops on the ship as well as the stores on land.

You are on a 600 foot zipline, 80 feet in the air and you can almost feel that Edward is with you the whole time (SO much fun!!)

Yup, I am addicted!!!!

Wow - I am impressed - did you really give up your books??? I guess you don't have an excuse than in buying the new Eclipse next week. What a fun vacation - the best kind - I'd say, when TW is involved!!!

That sounds like so much fun - I am jealous!! And you were able to incorporate TW into it all - sounds like a perfect vacation!!

You will probably be asked to visit all their cruise lines and leave a copy for all the other passengers. You will change their library and probably someones life.

I can't even imagine what that zipline was like for you. My phobia of heights would have vanished if Edward was with me. Sounds like a great trip!

Oh I loved reading your cruise experience so much! It brought back many memories of my cruise I went on back in October, it sounds like the exact same one. I also shopped for topaz jewelry, did you buy anything? I checked out books people were reading, and was thrilled internally when I would see someone with one (??). I wish that on my zipline that I would have had that thought! What a great thing to compare it to though, we might just know what Bella feels like running with Edward...
I love that you tried vampiros just for the name, and even more that they tasted great! I remember thinking that is was sad though that Bella and Edward could never go on a cruise like that because it's too sunny and Edward would sparkle the whole time. Thanks for sharing all these great moments, they made me smile.

So I just realized I have been at work for 2 hours, and have yet to do anything work related. I jumped onto the blog to read any comments on the first two chapter (and can I tell you I am intimidated to even try to create a post maryann!) and I have gotten sidetracked looking at SM.com, all the article. REally, MA, it is amazing how much stuff you find to put on here. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for keeping me so up to date, and for feeding this love we all have for everything twilight!

Okay, now I must put forth some effort and work for at least 15 minutes before I keep surfing the web. BTW, any takers on Bella's engagement ring? WHat are your thoughts?

Ruth: I was terrified of heights... well maybe I still am, but I wasn't the least be scared there...wierd!! It was so much fun! (until I got the awful rope burn, but that was my stupid fault and it was at the very end of the adventure)
RWV: I didn't buy any topaz... did you? where did you do the zipline? It was SO much fun! It was the best thing we did on the trip!!

Really you two cruisers should be ashamed of yourselves for not indulging in topaz.

Love the vampiros! Love it.
You are one happy addict. Baby you are not alone. You should go back and read some of the original Twilight moment posts. I started reading TW in August and in October I went on a trip to San Diego at the same time Trisha went on her cruise. She took her books, I didn't. But we both had so many Twilighty thoughts, we could rival you, I promise.

I literally ached on the beach when I thought of Bella and Edward not getting to enjoy that. Then I realized, Hey, the Cullens are wealthy enought that they can visit as many private beaches as their honeymoon requires. Not to mention cruising on their own private yacht. Edward, plus his resources, has got to be consolation for missing out on public beaches and commercial cruises, don't ya think.

I hope that ship sends you a medal of honor for showing so much love and concern for all the passengers. Really such a treasured sacrifice to give up those books. I applaud you!

And I am so glad you posted. Really SB tell everyone how NOT scary it is to start their own posts.

My own devastating, I mean DEVASTATING TW moment tonight. We went with some friends to the new Indiana Jones movie tonight, and on the way we realized we might very well see the most anticipated trailer of my LIFETIME! But we think we missed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so sad I really, really, really want to buy another ticket tomorrow just to go and watch the trailer. I don't want to miss it. I don't want it to go away. And I can't find another movie I even want to go and see. What should I do, really? It is killing me. I am going to go watch it several times right now, but what is 14 inches compared to what? Like a 50 foot screen or something.

And BTY where they heck are you BFB?

I didn't buy a topaz, I wish I would have now!! There was one I really liked but I couldn't get the peddler to budge on his price, so I walked away. The ship of course has all that jewelry for sale, and I would just browse until I found anything topaz. In fact it was my sister-in-law's birthday while we were on our cruise, so my brother asked me to go with him to the shopping area of the ship and help him pick her out a gift. I kept casually pointing out the jewelry with topaz gems, but he ended up with something else, oh well.
We did our zipline on our first port, which was Puerta Viarta (have no idea how to spell that!). I can't remember which company we went through though, how about you? It was very fun! Definitely the funnest excursion we did. I can't wait to go on another cruise, I recommend highly to anyone!

As far as Bella's engagement ring, I just have a picture in my mind of how it looks, from SM's description of it. Oval shaped, old fashioned, with the set of the diamonds all around. I've seen a few on avatars. It will be fun to see, but actually they'll probably get it wrong in the movie anyway and she'll have some platinum 5-carat princess cut or something way off. I love seeing pics from Stephenie herself (like the sleeveless shirt one!!). I wish she'd find one of her wedding dress to share with us!

Did you leave your name & contact info inside the book for any converts so they could send you their conversion stories?

TM, you did not miss the trailer. It is not on the Indiana Jones movies at Jordan Commons right now. Only on stupid movies right now. And the other theaters I called were less than helpful. (I quote: "I have NO idea. Sorry." Well, why don't you go ask someone then? Hellooo!)

I left my email in the book, I only gave up Twilight... but no worries, I have already purchased another one!

I am going on a road trip with one of my cullen converts! I am flying to Portland, she lives near there, then we are going to drive to Forks, spend the night and then do a Forks/La Push tour!!!!!!! SO excited!!! YAY

Actually I know several people that saw Twilight with Indiana Jones. So maybe again on the weekend?
Good research though BFB.

I didn't look at the proposed engagement ring replica. I agree with RWV, I would like to see SM's vision of it. She describes it beautifully but I'm a stickler for accuracy.
I'll have to go look at it.

Oh and SB, it's really so pleasant to purchase new Twilight books, isn't it? When are you leaving for your trip? So awesome!
Are you going right away? Are you going to miss reading BD chapter one this weekend. That would be horrible, even with a trip to Forks in the forecast.

simplybitten said...

Nope, not going to miss chapter one! I am leaving on June 12th. I am making us road trip bags.... SO cute! we are all going to be decked out in TW & Forks stuff!! yay!!!

The girl was just checking what was playing currently at Jordan Commons for the trailer - so it has probably already changed.
