well i am so glad that this is up and running ! I have been without Internet for 8 days and today is the first time it is back on! it was awful not to be able to look at twilight stuff ! but it was also very good because now i have read all three books twice and i must say that i picked up on so much more then i did the first time through! i found myself laughing at stuff that normally would have made me so mad like when bella is with jacob in the garage working on the bikes and they almost get caught by charlie! ( don't worry though still very obsessed with edward i promise) . so last week my husband said that i needed to read a different book and bought me a couple ! you know you are a true twilight fan when you change the names of your characters too bella and edward so that you can still feel like you are reading about their love story! it didn't not work! the girl died !! and now i am reading parts i love the most in eclipse again!

Welcome "Hudson". I am so happy you joined us finally. Yeah. I am acutally scared of what I might do if I had internet issues. Something a litte desperate I'll bet. You will have so much to read on here though. It should take a little while at least. I know you need diversions as you recooperate, but I am amazed you could bring yourself to read anything else (even with editing names). I can't yet. Nothing appeals to me. Someone recommended a book called "the Frog Princess". I am sure it is cute, but the main character, some princess described on the first page, was very clumsy. It just irriated me. I don't want to read about other clumsy girls. Blah! Bella only for me right now. So I shut the book and returned it to the library. You know Trisha (runswithvampires) and I were laughing at how we never watch TV anymore. "Who needs life when we have fictional characters to stalk" right?
Yes, the 2nd time through was just as good, if not better! I picked up on so much I missed the first time because I was so anxious to just find out what happened. I felt the same, I loved Jacob better the 2nd time around. Maybe because we knew Edward was coming back and there was nothing to worry about.
So glad that 'you' are back!! I told you that you would just love the books even more the second time!! That is so funny about trying to read other books...I too have not wanted at all to dive into anything else - except the Conference Issue! Which is good because it was that weekend that I was reading Twilight the first time - I kind of felt guilty!!
I, too, have loved them even more the 2nd time through. Who would've thought possible? I'm the same as Jill, I just couldn't wait to get through it the 1st time, so I picked up on so much more. I also did like Jacob better the 2nd time, in New Moon at least (I'm still reading Eclipse, so we'll see how I handle it) - now that I know the outcome. What is better than the ending of New Moon?!
Add me to the list of not being able to read another book yet. I can't get my mind off it just yet. That is really funny about trying to change the names of the characters. If anyone finds anything good, I'm open for suggestions though...I think.
It's true I don't watch TV nearly as much as I used to. As a Mom of 4 little kids I have very little free time, and that time is usually devoted to Twilight in some way. It's how I enjoy that special, infrequent, free time the most right now.
Anyway, welcome to the blog, hope you enjoy it, there's some good stuff in the archives.
At some point we will start a list of things to read while waiting for Breaking Dawn. For now I just reread certain chapters of all 3 books, mostly Eclipse right now. I won't list the chapters though. It could be a little embarrassing.
