With only a week and a day left until the movie, can we stand the excitement? There are so many new interviews that I can't keep up anymore. Don't miss my new post about why.
Here is a gorgeous picture to get you through. Our next post will be the movie discussion!
See you at the movies.

Robert is an Angel

So I have been adding good movie tidbits to the old post, but this is to fun to risk missing.

An interview with Stephenie about meeting Robert Pattinson. EEEE!
And I am adding this for anyone who hasn't seen it. This is a lengthy clip from the movie Vanity Fair, but there are some amazing shots of Robert. So if you haven't seen it, take the time:

The Best for Last

So this is the last day of February, and a special leap day at that. So I have been saving this for a special occasion and February 29th is good enough for me.

I have a fan-fiction I think you might all enjoy. I have only ever read about a dozen Twilight fan-fiction and liked very few of them. This is probably the only one I would ever really recommend. I really enjoyed it because it is very short, sounds almost like Stephenie and is written from Edward's perspective. It is also most definitely a PG-13, so please don't be shocked. I was going to edit it a little to make it PG and to take out a couple of phrases that don't quite seem right, but it was to much work. Really it is tasteful and beautiful and well, okay, kind of steamy. But it is also sweet and joyful and well, just read it and you will see.

I hope you love it as much as I did. It just makes me long for Midnight Sun even with the promise of Breaking Dawn less than 154 days away.
This is written as Edward describing the meadow scene at the end of Eclipse:
http://www.ramblingsandthoughts.com/twilight/viewstory.php?sid=455&chapter=Array&textsize=1

Only Edward

So a while back I was browsing the Lexicon and came across a very interesting post. The ladies were trying to picture the shirt Edward would have been wearing on the hike to the meadow where the "Confessions" take place. These moments in the Twilight time line are truly some of the most moving, stunning moments I've ever read. But then throw in the image of Edward in that shirt, and well, stunning seems like an understatement.

Anyway, no-one could describe or submit an accurate picture of his shirt for this scene. So back when SM would pop into the discussions on the Lexicon, she cleared things up by sending a picture. But first let me set the stage:
"I won't let you get lost." He turned then, with a mocking smile,
and I stifled a gasp. His white shirt was sleeveless,
and he wore it unbuttoned, so that the smooth white skin
of his throat flowed uninterrupted over the
marble contours of his chest, his perfect musculature
no longer merely hinted at behind concealing clothes.
He was too perfect, I realize with a piercing stab of despair.
There was no way this godlike creature could be
meant for me."

Only fictional boys can wear shirts like this. (Husbands we love you. Edward is just pretend)

Jimmy finishes reading Twilight

So...my dh just finished Twilight. To my surprise, he didnt fall completely in love with it-lol.
He thought the author repeated things that Bella would say way too much, he thought Bella said too often how much she thought Edward was beautiful, etc. (big time intimacy issues I'm tellin ya) I found myself getting a little defensive and defending the book but after a bit I stopped and just listened and nodded in thought to what he was saying. He closed with saying that overall he really did like the book and is going to start NM tonight. He said he just needed to remember thats how teenage girls think, lol. Anyway, I'm glad he's going to continue reading the other books, he is entitled to his opinion, 'I guess'.lol. I just naturally assumed he would think it was just as wonderful as we all did our first time....He did do the personality test and his results were Emmet. Trish, what do you think about that? I'd ask the rest of the group but she's the only TW member that knows him-LOL-Well MA you've met and talked to him a few times, right? I'm curious to see what everyone else's hubbys have tested to be, thats an interesting subject....hmm

Breaking Dawn

- Breathtaking -
- Heart-wrenching -

This isn't the real cover, but it might as well be.
So I am always torn between running my blog (by definition a private place for my own thoughts about Twilight) how I would like to and pleasing my wonderful guests, who make this blog worth visiting multiple times a day. I have had may discussions with myself, read by all of you, about how unfulfilling it is to talk to myself on here. So I want to save the "what will happen in Breaking Dawn" discussion until closer to the release. But I don't want tortured blogger friends. I think we at least need to wait until chapter one is released in May. The ideal for me is that we all read the saga one more time before Aug 2, together, and then hold an end-all, be-all, discussion. But I am asking what you think, because I love you all.

The credit to this breathtaking cover art goes to:

Dazzled Daily - 2/26

So do you like the new name of our weekly Twilight Moments? Don't tell me if you don't (ha ha). This is the place to put any little Twilight reminders you have this week. Nothing is too insignifant to list. For instance:

I had two car sightings this week. Once today, gorgeous black volvo (did my spinning friends catch it in the gym parking lot?) And yesterday I was racing with a beautiful audi coupe. It was also black. I could even see Bella in that. Mmm-hmmm.

But the best moment of all involves injuring my knuckles. It made me put my hand over my mouth and start giggling, while shopping at the grocery store. I'll finish the story in the comments.

Music: February 26

So last week of romance month.
You just have to love these:

Quote of the Week Feb. 26- March ?

So even the picture here is a quote - does anyone not know where the line above comes from?

So I have even more, new, funny rules. Read the comments faithfully before you guess:

Quote #1:
"I was gasping at the fresh air like I'd been suffocated"

Quote #2:
"He looked down, his lashes casting long shadows across his cheekbones. . ."

Quote #3. . ."There was only one voice I wanted to hear; anything else would be a disappointment."

And a bonus (silly aren't we?)
"I have foreseen. . . ,"

TW Moments of the Week Feb. 19-26

This is the place to post any comments you might have that would be considered a "Twilight Moment." We always seem to have so many of them and don't want anyone to miss them if they're posted somewhere other than the front page. So please feel free to share, we'll all love to hear them and enjoy them right along with you! We're thinking of having a weekly post just for "Twilight Moments."

Quote of the week February 19-26

Quote #1:His eyes were wickedly amused.
"Will you please allow me to finish?"

Quote #2:"I'll always want you," I reminded him...

Bonus:"I demand that you take me home."

It's my turn to do the quotes this week, that way Twilightmom can have a chance to guess right along with the rest of you. I hope they aren't too easy, but have fun anyway!

Take A Look at our Cullens

So these pictures ARE the real deal!
Where is everybody when I need some squealing company.
Whew!

And so it continues...

Well, I didn't know if I should start a new post to announce this or not. But since I've been a little out of it lately I thought I'd go ahead. So the big news is that Justin finished Twilight this morning! Last night I couldn't find him for a bit, then eventually found him tucked in bed reading Twilight, where he admitted to me that he couldn't put it down. He was at the intense part you know. Of course he was immensely disappointed that he didn't get play by play details of how Emmett and Jasper destroyed James. I told him he'd get a little more of the gore in NM and of course in Eclipse. So, he liked it ok. Never got into the lovey stuff, but I think he liked it overall more than he'll ever admit. For one thing, he called me into our room this morning and asked about where that last (technically first) chapter is from in the end of Twilight titled "The Party." Whether it was NM or Eclipse, I told him it's the first of NM, and he said, "get it will ya?" So I rushed to find it, acting like I didn't care that much, even though I was so excited, and handed it over. He's been reading it off and on today and as we speak, as well. And I didn't even ask him to! We'll see how he does. I really think he'll like the other 2 books more. There's not quite as much "shmoopy" stuff as he refers to it. I guess we'll see though!

Valentine's Week with New Moon

Well, I wanted to update all of you on how it's going with Joseph and New Moon. This one is going much slower due to the shorter trip that he took it on. But this week has been filled with fun little Twilight moments for our whole family. Here are a few that will make you smile...

Last night, after an especially hard evening alone with kids (it took Joseph 2 hours to get home from Sandy!!), he came in and gave me a kiss, could see the stress on my face, and said "what you need is a nice hot bath and some NM" - really he said NM not New Moon!!!

Last night as I was getting ready for bed he informed me that he was ready to read. He continued to sprawl himself across the bed and read....for an hour! By the time he was done, I had fallen asleep, but I tried soooo hard to wake back up and find out how it went. He is right when Bella finally figures out about Jacob (early morning, walking on the beach). I did remember him exclaimsometime during the night, "seriously, how can she not know..."

This morning he informed the kids that for Valentine's Day he was giving me a Vampire and a Werewolf!!

This evening as we were rapping up our Valentine's celebration with our chilun's, he said excitedly, "Annalyn, guess where we are going this year for our family vacation...Forks - or maybe Denali!"

Needless to say, he has made me smile all week long. Just a second ago, he said, "well, I'm off to my book!!"

So, here's to a wonderful Valentine's week - that of course was filled with and made better by our wonderful Twilight friends!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Better than a greeting card from me, I am going to share the best Twilight Videos I have ever seen, (just found them last night actually).

I haven't ever recommeded Twilight videos before, but these are simply amazing. I actually don't watch to many, its a productivity black hole and not usually worth it. But these, although not flawless are something I think every one of you might really love. And don't feel bad if you are here on our sight this Valentines evening. Its a lovely happy place to be.
All Fall Down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifiMxMdyKa8&eurl=http://www.hisgoldeneyes.com/videos.htm

This one is also beautiful. I absolutely love the music. But it doesn't end quite right. It captures Jacob and Bella at the end of New Moon, but Edward doesn't come back. Sad. I would have loved to see this artist create that.

Twilight Music

Here is the place to list your feelings and responses, and analysis of these Twilgiht related songs.
In honor of the romantic week I have included two fan songs. The song links are at the top of the blog but here I have included a link to the lyrics to each song. I have different ways I like to experience each song. Some I like to follow the lyrics, others I don't. I will recommend not watching the youtube video when first experiencing the songs. It can hamper the Twilight connection for me anyway.

"First Time" by Lifehouse

Sadly we can't hear the entire song but enough to really get a feel for it. You have to click on the song for it to play.

Twiligth Again !?!??!

I was wondering if any of you are like me. I dragged my feet at beginning the books. I didn't want to get addicted- nor did I think it was possible because it is not my normal character. Here I am now, within 3 months I have read the series 3 times- twice by myself and once with my Husband (he really enjoyed them- and we share twilight chuckles all the time). I surely can't - shouldn't read the books again. That isn't normal. I didn't read anything but the blog for the last month- and if ever, rarely commented. I decided since that since the TA meeting is at my house- I better pick it up and skim it so I can be in on the conversations. I must simply say- it was as fun to read it again as the other times. I found myself picking up on little details- writing out a time line and again being in love with love. It really brought a sense of joy ( and a little guilt because I should have been doing house chores) again. Even my husband noticed. I call the series my other triple combination- so my husband told me to read from both daily. I guess I shouldn't worry if it is normal, or if I should "move on" with something else, or is my life lacking in something- I just know that reading these books brings a smile to my heart and a sweeter kiss to my husband.

TA Meeting - The Romance of Twilight

Sorry I am so dreadfully behind, here is some of what we will discuss at our meeting.

We will discuss the characters of Bella and Edward, and of course their relationship.
Here are some sample questions to get thinking about (no posting discussion on these questions):
  • What makes Bella such a likeable character, easy to relate too?
  • Does she have any other interests than Edward?
  • Why is she so at home with the Cullens?
  • What is so appealing about Edward?
  • Why is his character so "conflicted"?
  • How did SM create such a magnetic relationship? Is it here writing style, the story itself, the compelling characters?
  • Is their relationship reflective of a normal first love?
  • If Edward has "imprinted" on Bella, has she done the same, in human terms, with him?

I have more, but haven't written them down. I would love you to add your own questions here and I will add them to my discussion.

Of course we will also discuss all of our favorite Twilight moments that blew us away, had our tummies flipping, made us gasp, sigh, giggle, and cry. You have two assignment to get ready for our meeting:
1. Everyone needs to spend some time in the books. You just can't recreate how you felt about Twilight without actually reading it. So when picking your favorite "moments" do some research. You will be glad you did!

2. Everyone has to agree that the Prom is one of the many beautifully romantic parts. It's now time for everyone to read the Extended Prom Remix, from SM. Here is the link.
http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/twi_outtakes_promremix.pdf
Feel free to respond to this moment on this post (But not any other romantic moments, kay?)
I mentioned on another post, in a comment, that I had a surprise. I found a copy of this prom-remix that I somehow saved as a word file. So surprise, if you would like a copy to insert in your Twilight book, just email me.

My Apologies

I just wanted to publicly state that even though I am swept away by the Romance in Twilight, I am madly in love with my husband and think all wives should strive to be so with their husbands. Edward belongs to Bella, so no worries anyway (this is a ha-ha, here). This little clarification is in response to many husband-raised-eyebrows when looking over our shoulders at the latest polls on the blog. Really girls I hope I haven't offended any one or ever encouraged anything but Twilight inspiring romance in our own lives.

The purpose was to discuss what can't be helped. The romance is amazing. Enough said.
So use this as a forum to respond to the polls as well. Thanks.

Romantic Moments continued:

Ahhh . . . So I didn't start reading Twilight knowing it was going to be the most romantic book I had ever read. I just heard it was good and was given it as a gift for my birthday. Maybe someday I will have to go back and ammend this statement, bear in mind I don't read romance novels , but it is a rare occurance to read a "Twilight", at least in my experience. But the Twilight series rekindled not only the feelings of first love, but the beauty of romance all together. At our TA meeting we will discuss our best loved Twilight romance moments.

In this post I thought it would be a great lead in, to add short quotes from the books, say two lines or less, that hint at our favorite parts. Add as many as you want. Or even add romantic lines that don't hint at a moment. Edward says some pretty sweet things in ordinary moments. I doubt we will have time to look up all the wonderful dialog at our meeting and as many of you have experienced, remembering Twilight romance doesn't even compare with reading it, word for word!
For example:
"He looked up at me through his impossibly long lashes, his golden eyes soft but, somehow still scorching.'

Bella's love

Edward was taken by surprise falling in love with Bella. But it seems any girl would go ga-ga for Edward if given a chance. Lets discuss how we know Bella is truly in love with Edward and not just infatuated with and attracted too him. Of course infatuation and attraction are obvious, but this love story wouldn't be what it is unless we truly believe Bella loves Edward. (This discussion is meant to be centered around thier relationship before New Moon. )A few months back we had a discussion on when Edward really started falling in love with Bella. Its a great review, and we would love new comments. The link is here:

After you review Edwards side of the story, lets discuss Bella's. How is her love genuine when it is so new?
All the other wonderful aspects of their relationship will be discussed at the meeting.

Timid Confession: Too Romantic?

This post was created by Turkeymama. Free blogger service lacks some features, so it would have been hard to find, long story.

Turkeymama said: I have to admit to something and I hope I'm not truly alone with this.
In October 2007 I bought this book for a friend of mine. I thought that maybe I would enjoy reading so I bought one for myself as well. I began it, but after a few chapters I just felt that it was about high school immature kids and actually took the book back to the store. It was December when, for some reason I can't remember now, I bought the book again and tried with more determination. That's when I was smitten. After getting "into" Twilight, I went out and bought the next two hardbacks - without confessing to my hubby - and read them the weekend after Christmas.

I still am amazed that these are "teen" fiction. My niece (11 years old) has read them, and to tell you the truth, I'm worried about how romantic they are. My mother and sister have read them. My mother hasn't finished Twilight yet, I don't think...but the dreamy and sweet romantic scenes seem SO personal to me. It feels like we are "watching" things we shouldn't! I'm curious about how others have felt about the most private moments between Edward and Bella.

I'm also interested in how "clean" the relationship is, even with him in her room at night. I'm not all that old, but this part hits my "human" side. I'm curious about whether others worry a little about this part crossing and maybe confusing the bounds of acceptable in a very "straight-laced and virtuous" society?

Another thought - some of my nieces weren't all that "into" the books. I'm going to pursue why they felt that way.

Twilight Music

The two songs for this week are "Magic" by Colbie Caillat, and "Please Forgive Me" by David Gray. How did you feel when you listened to these songs. Do they conjure up any Twilight feelings for you? Why do you think SM chose to put "Please Forgive Me" on her playlist for Twilight and what scene or emotions do you think it represents.
