With only a week and a day left until the movie, can we stand the excitement? There are so many new interviews that I can't keep up anymore. Don't miss my new post about why.
Here is a gorgeous picture to get you through. Our next post will be the movie discussion!
See you at the movies.

Another Quote for the Week Jan.8-15

Well I am starting to think that I am going to run out of quotes soon. You are all just to savvy. So this one could go quickly, but I'm doing my best to pick tricky ones. This one is pretty vague but I don't dare give any more of it away.

"Get some rest, Bella, honey. You look exhausted."

Remember we need to know the book and the situation in the story. Page numbers are not required, just a detailed description.

On your mark, get set, go. . . .

Well I'll take a guess.Hmm, its definitely said by Esme, In Eclipse? After coming back from Italy and she's too scared and worried to sleep, and worried that someone will get hurt because of her, especially Edward? They're planning to track Victoria and keep Bella safe.Am I anywhere near close? Does this even make any sense what I just said? lol

jillybean22 said...

I think Edward says it but can't remember where. I think maybe in Eclipse that night when they meet with the werewolves to train for the battle.

Trish said...

This is fun, because I'm not sure where it is either, I didn't help with this one at all.
Those are both good guesses. I think it's between the 2 of them that say it. But I do think it's Edward more. I have an idea, but I'll check a few places first.

lioness said...

Hooray! This is harder than I thought it would be. Good. And that is all I am going to say!

Cydne said...

Found it - but I won't spill the beans so quickly this time. Theres one key word though...

lioness said...

Wow. You are doing great at this. I find it interesting that you refer to a certain word (I know which word) as a "key" word in your mind. Is that a word used by the quotee often? Refresh my memory when you give this one away. Or is it just that no-one else uses that word with Bella?

Trish said...

Ok, so now I'm more confused. I've changed my mind on who I think said it. I think it may be between two others now. Not that it matters, since it's found, but I'll stick try to figure it out because it will drive me mad!

lioness said...

Tell me the two you think and I will tell you if one is correct. I just wont tell you which one yet. I am sure this is a healthy mental exercise.

jillybean22 said...

Renee? Ugh, this is harder than I thought. Who calls her honey? Now I'm going to search. The only book I have here is NM, though, so I might be outta luck. Wtg, Cydne! You are great at this!

jillybean22 said...

Adam and I are taking another stab...Renee at the hospital in Phoenix? I don't recall Esme ever saying that. And I don't think Alice or Jacob. And it seems out of place for Charlie. I really thought Edward. But I think possibly Renee. Close?

lioness said...

Boy it really does sound like something Renee would say at the hospital. Very good guess. I will tell you it is not a female. And don't be confused by Cydne's hint. That either helps or hinders, depending on how you see the character saying this line.

By the way Jill where is your Twilight? And Adam, I happen to know that these books were on the top (close anyway) of her Christmas list. Didn't Santa get the letter?
(Is Katherine ever going to finish Eclipse?)
Let Cydne know when you can't take the torture any more.

jillybean22 said...

Yes, Kat still has Eclipse. She sent me a text yesterday saying how mad she was at Bella for kissing Jacob. It was so cute. With the cruise in 2 days (yay!) we didn't spend any money on each other for Christmas. But as soon as we get back...hopefully i will indulge and buy myself the whole set. Adam is reading NM, you'll be happy to know. It's nice to have the support through the tough parts. Well, dang. Maybe my initial gut feeling was right? Don't tell me yet, still want to guess some more.

Trish said...

I still want to guess too.
The 2 I'm thinking it might be now though is either Charlie or Jacob.
TELL ME IF I'M RIGHT ON ONE OF THEM!

Trish said...

Helloooo....

lioness said...

Cut back on that Coke hyper. You commented at 10:40, it is now 10:47. I am doing important research in between these comments you know.

Yes one of those is correct!

Trish said...

Ok, I know which one it is. I just have to figure out where it's at...ha!

lioness said...

You guys do know I am kidding about the coke, and the Christmas list right? I don't like to constantly write hee, hee's after everything (hee, hee).

Jill you are one lucky girl to have a husband that will read these books. That is almost as good as owning the books yourself. He should be proud of your budget discipline. I am impressed. (Consider this is coming from a girl who owns two copies of Twilight, and is often tempted to buy more copies of the other two books).

And YEA for Katherine. I love everyone who hates that kiss, even if I love the people kissing!

Trish said...

Yes of course. I'm not that thin skinned.
I agree about you being lucky to have a husband who'll read them...sigh. And I hope you can indulge eventually, every girl should have a set of these on her nightstand. When's your birthday? :)

lioness said...

You never know. My family finds me extremely offensive!

Erin, Erin, where are you. You have got to share about how you feel about these pretty books and night stands!

Annalyn said...

well, I thought I could join you all - I think I know who said it, but I will have to decide where...

Jenn said...

Man! I was waaaay off! Well now I know who said it, I have a few ideas where at but Super Guesser Cydnee maybe you should just get it out now and release us from curiosity! Or at least me!LOL

Annalyn said...

Ok - so about the pretty books and night stands...when i finally got all my books back. I just stacked them neatly on my nightstand next to my pillow...it made me feel complete and whole! Not healed, but like there was never a hole in the first place...ahh - who knows where that is?

Annalyn said...

And I have to say - Joseph was actually fine going to bed tonight...I told him I had to check my email and finish my assignment for the TW meeting tomorrow...he then started asking me what it was...then he quickly tuned out (he later admitted)

lioness said...

That would be the moment Bella sees Edward in Volterra!

Oh man! One of the best moments in the entire 1800 pages!

lioness said...

No Jenn, we are not revealing yet. Jill and RWV and Erin are still making an effort here. Just hang on. Go look at some pictures of Jasper for a minute. Kay.

lioness said...

So this is one of the funnest posts yet wouldn't you all agree?

So Dave said he loves the night before "important events" because I am in such a good mood. Ha ha! How cute is that. He was also smiling, and making fun a little, of all my serious research tonight. He has seen what is does for my sprits so no complaints from him tonight.

Annalyn said...

Oh crap, I thought I had it, but it's another time that the person is telling Bella to 'get some sleep' I'm still on it though!

Annalyn said...

Hey MA I did email you my final draft - but you probably are flipping back and forth, so nevermind...

Annalyn said...

Found it, found it!!!

Annalyn said...

I don't know why I'm so excited...I wasn't really the first person to find it - oh well, that was sure fun. I guess maybe I better get some sleep...

lioness said...

Erin I am very impressed that you found another moment with someone telling Bella to get some sleep. Besides Edward of course.

And you forgot to tell me I was correct about your little mini quote.

lioness said...

You were the first one to find it tonight!
Tell me when the rest of you give up.

Yes get some sleep. That goes for all of you. We want everyone fresh for tomorrow night!

Jenn said...

ha!.....

Trish said...

Does anyone else realize that my quote right her makes 33 comments? Now that must be a record.
And how very funny to post a mini-quote guess within a quote guess post! Nice.
I think I give up because I don't have the book I think it's in to find out for sure.
And yes, this might be one of the funnest posts yet, don't forget the night "Edward" was cast though.

Annalyn said...

sorry MA you were right...NM page 452 (can I really read 500 pages in less than a week?)
"It was very strange, for I knew we were both in mortal danger. Still, in that instant, I felt well. Whole. I could feel my heart racing in my chest, the blood pulsing hot and fast through my veins again. My lungs filled deep with the sweet scent that came off his skin. It was like there had never been any hole in my chest. I was perfect - not healed, but as if there had been no wound in the first place."

obviously I didn't have it at all near correct...I guess you can all guess that yes - I just finished reading maybe the best part of the whole series...the end of NM!!

lioness said...

Can't compare of course. That was like being high on something. This is very satisfactory because it is so fun to talk to so many fellow Twilight/Edward lovin' girls.

Jenn said...

You mean I'm staying awake to see the answer and you're telling people to go to bed? This is painful I guess I'll just have to go look some more...boo hoo

lioness said...

My last comment was in reference to RWV last comment in case it seems confusing. Everyone typing at once.

Erin 500 pages in one week! So amazingly cool and smart, smart, smart!

So many things start to fade from memory when you are not reading. But not the end of New Moon. I was going to elaborate but I will save it for your post on how you felt in those last chapters.

Annalyn said...

Oh - I know , I've been wanting to post all day - but I guess a few wife and mother responsibilities take precedence (sp) every once in awhile...and I do want to be ready for our fun meeting. I don't think I will be quite there at 7:00 - can I bring something?

Annalyn said...

Sorry, one more thing. I went back to the beginning of these comments - did you really post this this morning? I can't believe that maybe I actually didn't check the blog all day...no, is that right - crap how sad is that? Maybe the time is wrong on these things...Oh, I'm so depressed!

Trish said...

Look at how many of us are typing at our computers at the same time on the same post. How great is that!

You're funny MA, that news was so exciting that night it was like being high or something! Too bad it was only us then, this is very fun with more TA members involved!

And I'm totally jealous that you just got to read the end of NM Erin, I feel the same as the rest of you, maybe my favorite part of the series????

Jenn said...

This is so fun! We're commenting every minute or so!

Annalyn said...

I just took a break to read the Emmett outtake again, so catch my comment there...and I'm headed to bed - sadly!!

Trish said...

Farewell for tonight, fellow TA friend.

lioness said...

Yes but I am getting sleepy so I won't keep you in suspense any longer Jenn. New Moon - Jacob has told Bella all kinds of stuff about werewolves and she meets them and sees Jacob change for the first time. It's a long day. She meets Emily, etc.

Charlie came over too. He is waiting to follow her home in his cruiser. Jacob tells Bella to "get some rest, honey".

So I think "honey" is Cydne's key word. Only Jacob would say that? Of course him saying it is a little controversial. There is an entire discussion about that on the Lexicon.

Erin do not be sad. You have been very busy today. I have gone an entire day without checking the Lexicon before. Remember my story about when Edward was cast? It happens.
Trish, we can't name a favorite part really, what about our herion chapter 20. Don't get me started. One of our absolute favorite moments, yes. Mabye in the top 3? Maybe the top. Hmmmm. Sorry I am not starting a discussion on best Twilight moments. That could go on forever. I wonder what the commenting limit is on a post?

Jenn said...

Thanks sweetie! That was one of my thoughts but I was actually thinking more strongly towards the motorbike day for some reason--Ok now I can go to bed in peace-LOL

Annalyn said...

Hey, sorry, I'm back... i just emailed MA and then I noticed how many messages were in my junk mail...I clicked on it. I have like 3 full pages of TA comments from all of this tonight - it made me laugh!!

lioness said...

What in the "heck" are we doing in your junk mail? You probably wont get this junky comment, but I couldn't resist.

Shouldnt I be TM you guys not MA, just kidding. I like my duel identities. Besides haven't some of you diagnosed me with multiple personalities anyway? I'm just rambling now. Don't reply to this silliness.

Trish said...

You bet I'll reply to this silliness. I have wondered which I should call you, in fact, I've put TM before, then backspaced and put MA. Not sure why. Maybe because TM are my real initials, no not really, I don't know. Who would you like to be?

And Erin, never be sorry to be back...

Now I know where it's at in NM I can relax and think about other things, like Alice for tomorrow's meeting.

Trish said...

I was starting to this this was a contest for who could be the last to comment on this post for the night...huh - guess I win!

lioness said...

Now I win, but I will concede to you when you post after me.

I don't know if I would know it was me with the initials TM. Funny that is you too. Could get confusing. I slip and say Trisha all the time. MA is fine with me.

Jenn said...

Well RWV, I just couldnt resist sending one so that I, not you would be last. I have been reading these from you three and cracking up I'm tellin ya--

Jenn said...

Oops, MA you slipped one in,eh? Ok I'm going to stop cause clearly I'm loopy and in need of sleep-gnite ya'll

lioness said...

Goodnight Jenn. Thanks for all the fun you add to the blog.

Trish said...

Yes, goodnight Jenn.......:)

Jenn said...

you two are so competetive! lol

lioness said...

I promise I am only commenting to say I am LAUGHING OUT LOUD! Really I don't want you to all see my ridiculous hours. I can hardly believe it myself.

Will we ever shut up? is the real question.

Trish said...

Nice try, both of you.
I can't believe how far I have to scroll down to get to the comment box!
I have actually not posted a comment some nights because I didn't want the time posted as well...
I'm not sure we'll ever shut up, but I might be embarrassed in the morning when I read what I've done.

Jenn said...

Sure,sure...
I am also lmbo so I'll catch you chickies tomorrow night!

Jenn said...

Guess I'll find out in the a.m. which one of you two stuck it out to the death--sweet (edward) dreams!

Trish said...

Guess so...

lioness said...

What in heaven's name is lmbo? I am getting really punchy here. We will definitely be embarrassed. We can always go back and delete all this if no one else thinks it is belly achin' funny!

And seriously I don't care how funny of a comment you post TM/RMV I am truly finished (here anyway).

Trish said...

It took me a minute but it's "laughing my butt off" right?

Who the crap is RMV?

Jenn said...

lmbo=laughing my butt off

(I wish thats all it would take for my butt to fall off)

Trish said...

Now that's funny! I just woke my husband who's sleeping on the couch next to me with all my laughing. Woo! I've really got to stop now.

Jenn said...

not sure, but gnite RMV whoever you are! And TM/MA

lioness said...

I am a liar and a terrible typist RWV! My "bum" is too round to laugh off but I am crying right now and my stomach hurts. Would you to knock it off already. I really don't want to have to delete all of this to save face some day.

Jenn said...

She's starting with the threats, maybe we SHOULD go......

Trish said...

Okay, my laughing has woke my husband for a 2nd time, and believe me that's no easy task. I really must be done with this, later Jenn and AM/MT (just kidding, I couldn't resist MA/TM)

I think we might need to delete some of these...

lioness said...

Okay, many deep breaths later. We will wait and see if anyone clues into to our delirious state. This might intimidate people so they wont read it.

So the mood swings are drastic here. Laughing tears are dried now but I just have to say, in CLOSING:
that I just love you girls!

Trish said...

Please don't be afraid fellow TA members (especially anyone new) when you have 30+ comments to read in your email. This really isn't the norm.
In closing, it was fun though.

jillybean22 said...

You girls are so dang funny! I had 71 email this morning and I thought, oh, crap, some company has gotten my email and sent me a bunch of spam. I was so glad it was just you guys getting punchy at 1am. Sounds like a virtual slumber party! Don't you miss those? Wow, thanks for letting us know what the quote was, it was driving me crazy. So excited for tonight!

Trish said...

So, yes, I am a little embarrassed now this morning, as I was afraid. But it was fun all the same. It did remind me of a slumber party jillybean, when you get so delirious and giddy and think everything is hilarious when it's gets that late. Again I apologize for the overload of emails to whoever got them. Like MA said, this was a once-in-a-blog-time thing (maybe).

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tonight, it should be very fun and interesting I think.

(By the way, I did win...)

Trish said...

I just have to say, did you realize MA that at 11:03pm your post said "Erin, Erin where are you..." and at 11:05pm Erin joined for the first time, almost as if she heard your call. How funny is that!

Annalyn said...

I know - I looked at the time...I had just checked my email, and then the blog - and I saw that it looked like you guys were still there! Fun, fun. See you all tonight!

Ruth said...

Wow. I guess I missed quite the eventful night! Just wanted to say that I did read all of these comments and they are too funny to be deleted. I couldn't believe it when I opened the blog to see there were 75 comments on this one post. I thought for sure it was a mistake or a million duplicates.

Have a great time tonight!

Cydne said...

So TW, explain the controversy on the lexicon about Jacob saying "Honey." Because he does call Bella that on more than one occasion.

So, anyhow, that was what clued me in on the quote, or else I never would have found it. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES SOMEONE TELLS BELLA TO GET SOME SLEEP?
I couldn't find it immediately so I was looking through other non-Jacob parts of the book, when I saw Jacob call Bella "Honey" in another passage. So I started looking in the Jacob sections again and finally found it.

I just remembered that Edward calls her "love" or "sweetheart" and Esme calls her "dear," but only the Blacks stuck out in my mind for using "Honey." (I think even Billy uses that term, but I will have to verify that; and maybe Charlie, also, on occasion.)

I guess now I will have to research this - maybe I'll bring it to next month's meeting on the loves of Twilight - my report: "Terms of Endearment in the Twilight Books."

Trish said...

That's awesome. You really could do an essay on that topic. She is called different things by many different people, I definitely have seen that. And how true that Bella is told to "get some sleep" by many throughout those books!
Great!

lioness said...

Ruth I am so relieved to hear you found us humorous rather than idiodic (a dash of idiocy is allright). RWV (not RMV of course, ha, ha) also found rereading our "conversation" too enjoyable to erase. So this nutty night is here to stay. Glad non-participants can enjoy it as well.

lioness said...

And to you Betcha. . . I think you are very perceptive with the terms of endearment, (yes that is your assignment, by the way). For me "honey" never fit as a term Edward would use. I'd be very curious to know if Charlie slips and uses it once or twice.
But the controversy on the Lexicon, I think, I didn't spend much time on this board at all, but it had to do with Jacob having the "right" or it being appropriate for him to be calling her "honey". I think it bothered people since he wasn't her boyfriend and she didn't see him that way.
And if you all love me, please don't start a discussion about how we feel about that. I just can't take it. I am in a happy Jacob place and I would like to stay there. I will say simply, it didn't really bother me when he says "honey". I would elaborate but then I would be breaking my own plea. If you really need to talk about it, lets start a new post. The "is it okay for Jacob to call Bella, "honey", post. I mean does that really sound like a fun discussion to ANYONE? We have much more meaningful things to discuss, like our character reviews from the meeting, where we can discuss Jacob's good, loyal friend qualites. And of course the upcoming "most romantic lines and moments in Twilight" post. Mmmm. . . . .

Trish said...

No need for a discussion on that topic for me. There are many, many topics waiting to be discussed - especially with Valentine's Day coming up, perfect holiday for this love story we're all thinking about.

Jenn said...

Would you believe I just reread these for some reason and I laughed myself to tears? again? That was such a funny night

Annalyn said...

I have not taken a moment to re-read these...little nervous to see if I made a fool of myself. But I just noticed that at the end of this post MA, you put "on your mark, get set, go..." I didn't even finish reading after I read the quote - how pathetic. But you hit it right on the head...we were is a pretty tight race (after Betcha...already found it I mean). Oh well, it made for such a fun night...can't wait for this week.

lioness said...

Okay so I don't know where the terms of endermeant discussion has moved too but this is where it started.
I just wanted to add this clarification about the use of "honey" by Jacob, as stated by the authoress:
"It didn't sound like a girlfriend/boyfriend kind of endearment to Bella, no matter how Jacob meant it. Remember, Charlie calls her "honey," too. To Bella, it sounded very natural, considering how close they are."

The link to the Lexicon discussion is: http://www.twilightlexicon.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2046&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

This was the only comment from SM on that board. I didn't really read the rest. Once she spells it out, I don't see any reason to keep discussing possiblities. Someone did mention the difference though between Jacob's term and Edward's terms. I mentioned before "honey" is not an Edward term. "Sweetheart", and "love" seem more Edward, but I will look forward to reading the research.

betchafeelbetter said...

I visited the messge boards and saw SM's post there and didn't read much else there either. I think that experience cured me of the desire to read the message boards over there too much.

The usage of these terms in the books is consistent with what SM said (Big suprise).
