If you can't get on the myspace page, you can go to Youtube and search the title. I just didn't find a great sound there (or a video that didn't make me crazy).

And you have to actual press play, but I assumed you could all figure that out. Let me know if it comes up differently than very self explanatory.

Well I listened to the Chasing Cars song. Very mellow and relaxing. It reminds me of the night Bella & Edward are alone in Eclipse and he asks her to try and forget everything else.

I really like the line, "I need your grace to remind me to find my own." Good way to phrase the transformation that Bella has caused in Edward.

Thanks!

The "I Wish the Best for You" song nearly made me cry. It very much reminded me of the Jacob/Bella scene at the end of Eclipse when they realize they can't see each other anymore.

By the way, this artist is playing in concert tomorrow (the 29th) in SLC. Just an interesting tidbit that has no other meaning.

Hey, TM I had a new insight for you, after listening to the Emerson Hart song. To keep this brief - we all sometimes think that Bella is a little undeserving of Edward & his unwavering love, but he doesn't see it that way.

There is a line in the song, "You. Me. Why can't we see that there's more to love than we'll ever know." That just really made me think about how complex and unpredictable love is. We don't understand it. We can't always control how we feel - only what we do.

Edward sees that because is human, she is vulnerable to easily changing emotions - emotions she doesn't choose to have. Bella didn't betray him (in his eyes) because she didn't choose to fall in love with Jacob. He also sees that even though she does love Jacob, she still loves and chooses to stay with him. In a way, that makes her devotion to him more of a gift than it would be if she were not sacrificing other romantic relationships. Everyone, at some point, leaves their parents to form adult relationships - but to choose one reciprocal relationship over another is the true sign of commitment.

Wow. Some very good insights. I can't say too much more though because it gets people hot-blooded with my take on the Jacob and Bella thing. I probably don't see it completely for what it is. Its hard to reconcile for me.
But with saying that, I am the one who chose this song because it reminds me so much of Jacob and Bella.
Love is complicated. I feel Bella is always unwaveringly in love with Edward. Throughout Eclipse SM shows over and over that it is difficult for Bella to deal with he Jacob issue, but her heart belongs to Edward. So she is deserving of him. My flippant comments on the other post, just meant Edward was a saint to be so patient while Bella figured out she couldn't stay friends with Jacob they way the were when Edward was gone. But I do agree that their commitment is made that much more powerful by him seeing what she is willing to give up. This is truly such an emotional song.

But . . .
But the song that makes me cry is Chasing Cars. I will elaborate later. Running out of time now. I'll confess these are both my suggestions, and my favorite Twilight songs (so far anyway).

So I just listened to Chasing Cars again after your thoughts about it being in the eclipse meadow scene (I don't know what post that was in) and I have to say that I am very much in agreeance with you, TMMAJS (did I miss any letters?).

I liked the line about the perfect eyes being all that I can see - very fitting for that scene. (How DID she resist him?)

lioness said...

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness (what movie is that from RWV), there are so many lines from that song that just melt my heart. The only reason I think she could resist him, is that SM was trying to teach a moral principle. Good thing. (and I mean it!)

And you are one brilliant little chicky. You got every letter. But can you do Trish?

I haven't listened to the song when I shared it but I think I will just so I can finish my thoughts here. But first I will read the fanfic, and the last chapter in honor of the music.

Is it sad that I read all those posts so I do know that Trish is RWVBTYTCM ?

(I can't remember her maiden name - just the initial)

& Jenn would be Jenn-liscious or JTFC.

It was quite entertaining. Probably not as much as for you guys, since I read the three threads separately, so it was pieced together. Still, I really needed a good TW dose that morning, so I hope that doesn't make me too pathetic.

You are a funny brilliant girl!
I'm very happy that we could entertain someone else as well. It makes it seem that much more fun, so thanks for sharing your thoughts on our craziness. And of course, not sad at all!

So I keep forgetting to say how much I love both of these songs. I listened to them both over the last week or so a couple of times, and have also heard them on the radio. In fact it was one of those where I had to sit in the driveway in my parked car until it was finished.

Both such sweet songs, and I loved reading both of your reactions to them. I agree with everything you have said so far. They bring out some heartwrenching feelings. It's so amazing how music can do that. I do think the Emerson Hart song portrays the Bella/Jacob talk at the end of Eclipse well. In a way it could also portray Edward trying to say goodbye to Bella at the first of NM. Not as well though. And before I even read your thoughts, I felt that the Chasing Cars song was perfect for the meadow scene in Eclipse. How awesome that we could all think alike on that. I'd love for you to elaborate your eloquent feelings still.
Music puts me in such a "Twilighty" mood, don't you guys agree?

Trish said...

Oh, by the way, the movie is "Annie" of course! I've only seen that probably 30 times in the last 3 months!

And it truly does make the books that much sweeter that there are some principles being acted on in them.

While I was driving my sister to the airport at 4:30 AM yesterday, she started playing Colbie Caillet(sp?). Chasing cars followed right after that.

It was meant to be.

You have some pretty sweet TW moments. How wonderful for you.

I don't know if anyone will read this post, but I found a song that made me think of Bella and Edward. It is 'Say It Again' by Marie Digby. Here are the lyrics:

The thing about love
Is i never saw it coming
It kinda crept up and took me by surprise
And now there`s a voice inside my heart that`s got me wondering
Is this true, i want to hear it one more time

Move in a little closer
Take it to a whisper
Just a little louder

Say it again for me
Cuz i love the way it feels when you are telling me that i`m
The only one who blows your mind
Say it again for me
It`s like the whole world stops to listen
When you tell me you`re in love
Say it again

Thing about you is you know just how to get me
You talk about us like there`s no end in sight
The thing about me is that i really want to let you
Open that door and walk into my life

Move in a little closer
Take it to a whisper
Just a little louder

Say it again for me
Cuz i love the way it feels when you are telling me that i`m
The only one who blows your mind
Say it again for me
It`s like the whole world stops to listen
When you tell me you`re in love

And it feels like it`s the first time
That anybody's ever brought the sun without the rain
And never in my whole life
Have I heard words as beautiful as when you say my name

Say it again for me
Cuz i love the way it feels when you are telling me that i`m
The only one who blows your mind
Say it again for me
It`s like the whole world stops to listen
When you tell me you`re in love
Say it again

When you tell me you`re in love
Say it again

If anyone reads this, let me know what you think

betchafeelbetter said...

Thanks for sharing the song. This isn't specifically Twilighty, but I like the line about how beautiful it sounds when someone you love says your name. Very true.

Have you ever noticed the opposite is true too? When someone you don't like or are mad at says your name, it doesn't sound right - like it isn't safe in their mouth? Or if someone you don't know well calls you a nickname that only your close friends use. I never say anything, but in my head I'm thinking, "Umm, you can't call me that. I don't know you that well."

I'm commenting in a very old post, but I just came across a song that fits Bella and Edward so well - at least I think so. (Just don't think of Jacob while you listen though...) It is by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat called "Lucky". http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=lucky&hl=en&emb=0#q=lucky%20jason%20mraz%20colbie%20caillat&hl=en&emb=0

Marti guess what? I heard that song last week and of course that of "you know what". I just havent had time to add songs to the blog in a while, but that one was first on my list. Yay! Thanks for sharing. I'll try to do that as some Midnight Sun tragedy therapy.
