Valentine's Week with New Moon

Well, I wanted to update all of you on how it's going with Joseph and New Moon. This one is going much slower due to the shorter trip that he took it on. But this week has been filled with fun little Twilight moments for our whole family. Here are a few that will make you smile...

Last night, after an especially hard evening alone with kids (it took Joseph 2 hours to get home from Sandy!!), he came in and gave me a kiss, could see the stress on my face, and said "what you need is a nice hot bath and some NM" - really he said NM not New Moon!!!

Last night as I was getting ready for bed he informed me that he was ready to read. He continued to sprawl himself across the bed and read....for an hour! By the time he was done, I had fallen asleep, but I tried soooo hard to wake back up and find out how it went. He is right when Bella finally figures out about Jacob (early morning, walking on the beach). I did remember him exclaimsometime during the night, "seriously, how can she not know..."

This morning he informed the kids that for Valentine's Day he was giving me a Vampire and a Werewolf!!

This evening as we were rapping up our Valentine's celebration with our chilun's, he said excitedly, "Annalyn, guess where we are going this year for our family vacation...Forks - or maybe Denali!"

Needless to say, he has made me smile all week long. Just a second ago, he said, "well, I'm off to my book!!"

So, here's to a wonderful Valentine's week - that of course was filled with and made better by our wonderful Twilight friends!!

I don't think I have read many things that made me smile so much.
What a truly wonderful twilighty/valentines week!

I can only imagine how much it would make you smile. I know how much I would smile when my DH even made an attempt to enjoy my life's passion of late. It sounds too sweet to be true. I didn't know my brother had it in him. Just wait until he gets to Volterra. He might be the biggest TW/Husband fan yet. Although Paul is about as good as it gets when it comes to truly understanding TW and its positive effect on us.
I can't wait for further updates.

RWV - is Justin ever going to get hooked? Dave predicted you and I will never really read Shatterpoint. Are we going to prove him wrong or throw in the towel?

Rachael even though we have never met, I can genuinely say I am so happy that you are back. I hope that mean that you are feeling better now and are taking a break from so many physical traumas.

The 3rd time through Twilight is every bit as wonderful as the second. I hope you will do chapter posts when you discover something new, or again, or are just dying to talk about what you are reading at the moment. We all love to relive the joy through fellow readers.

I think it would be awesome to go on vacation or something and have lots of blog reading to come home too. I went on a vacataion when TW in my world was very new. Even though I didn't take the books with me, I kept sneaking onto my brother-in-laws computer to email RWV with Twilight thoughts I was having. So I have never left TW and then come back. I hope you had fun catching up. I just love what everyone writes and has to say.

So thanks to my SH (sweet husband, I'm getting tired of DH, all though someone, I can't remember who thought the "D" was for dumb or even something worse. Hmmm. Of course not.)
Digression, my signature commenting style.
Thanks to Dave, he brought it up tonight, I had TW on my mind at our Stake Valentines Dance tonight. First we started dancing "Bear-Hug" style, which is acutally quite pleasant with your TL (true love), (digression coming: pleasant except for the embarassing part when you are the only ones dancing that way). So Bear-hugging made me think of Jacob and Bella at the prom, except I really picture them at arms length, don't you? I laughed to myself remembering their awkwardess (how the heck do you spell that word?)

But then dancing and Twilight, and feeling a little self-conscious about my lack of dancing know-how, only led me to slip into a very short but satisfying reminiscence of a beautiful brunette girl balanced on the shoes of a breathtaking boy, dancing at a prom in Forks, WA. And it only added to my very nice evening.

The rest of the time I was actually enjoying myself with my very SH (silly husband).

That is so funny Mary Ann - I was thinking about Bella standing on Edward's feet too. I kept wondering how that might work and if he really could lead so perfectly that it made her look natural - even though she can't really dance at all. I guess the perfect vampire can make anything seem easy. Greg and I had a really fun time too. Oh, and be sure to thank Dave for me, for planting the seed of reading Twilight into my husband's stubborn head. Heaven knows the # of times I tried to plant that same seed - I guess he just needed to hear it from another man. He actually started reading it last night - hooray!!!!

I think the fact that we were both thinking the same TW thoughts makes up for our negligence when we first saw each other. That is very satisfying and funny.

So I am glad my husband is doing something to promote Twilight. I think he is on a make-up mission. He really hurt my feelings about it a few weeks ago, and has been overkill on the positive ever since. So I have a hard time believing his influence to be genuine, but I too, will take what I can get.

And as far as Edward and Bella are concerned, I hardly think it even mattered if it looked natural, you know? But I can picture Edward making them look like ballroom dance champions.

Oh for sure they looked like professionals. Edward is too darn graceful for his own good.

I too thought of them while at that same dance! Why didn't I share that with you MA? Weird! We only danced like once, you know my husband used his finger injury as a reason that he couldn't dance well that night (although truly he could only do "bear hug" style for dancing as well.) We had a great time mingling with many friends anyway. But I have to ask, didn't the strung balloons remind you guys of the prom decorations somewhat?

Erin, I'm so happy you shared all those things. They made me smile as well. What a great husband to include all those things in your week. I'm glad he's plugging along with NM. I think it can get a little slow there in the middle, but the end makes up for it big time. I told Justin that today. He has many theories on how it should be, and has mentioned a few things about Bella that I've had to correct and defend. At least he seems to agree with what I say and see my view. He also says many little TW related things, almost daily he says something, usually just small, but something about a vampire. Or he'll even just talk about Denali or something off the wall like that. I believe he secretly thinks the Cullens are totally awesome.

Rach - so good to hear from you! Joseph has now found out that all of his 'musings' were wrong about what was going to happen in NM. He read some more over the weekend - is now almost through in Vulterra. He admits that is was surprised at how is took a turn. He was sure there was going to be a faceoff with warewovles and Vampires, and that Edward really was going to be stalking Bella through all the 'hearing his voice' parts. I'm sure he won't love the end like we all do. And I am nervous to tell him that all the Victoria action comes in the next one! Oh well - he knows now that whenever I need a little pick-me-up, he just has to mention something about the books...even if it's teasing!
