Hello me. I'm finally back. (where is busy everyone else these days?) I miss my Twilight moments so much. In fact I didn't even realize that today celebrates Bella and Edwards engagement, (sad sigh). Luckily though I noticed it before it was to late .To commemorate, there is a wedding poll and this post is for guesses on the location of the honeymoon Edward is surprising Bella with. Mmmmm. (would be more perky but too tired).
Where do you think Edward will take Bella?
And what do you think of this replica of Bella's ring that is for sale online?

Ohhh, what a fun thought! Hmm, I wonder...
I checked the Lexicon on Friday night and saw the invitation for Bella and Edward's engagement party, very cute. That's when I realized what the day was too! Then Saturday morning I realized you put this post on, fun, we must have been realizing it at the same time.
Ok, so back to the honeymoon...it will definitely have to be somewhere on the cloudy side, they'll probably stay North. Different places in Europe have a lot of cloud cover. Like Ireland and Scotland I think. Except, maybe I don't want them to go to Europe and be too close to Italy. I bet Edward realizes that wouldn't be the best idea, maybe. I've heard that Iceland is a cold but beautiful place. Maybe they could go on an Alaskan cruise...although I'm not sure about the weather on those.
So, there are some ideas. I absolutely love that Edward is keeping the location(s) of their honeymoon a secret though, I think I'm almost as excited to find out as Bella, well probably not really, but well you know...sighhhh
I can almost see Edward taking Bella somewhere like the North Pole, where the isn't a single other person, so there will be no fear of going out during the day. But I don't think the cold would be so romantic, so I am hoping for somewhere like Scotland as well. That was the first place that popped into my mind.
As for the ring, that is not how I pictured it at all. I am not sure if I really like it. And what bugs me the most is knowing there will be a bunch of teeny boppers out there wearing this ring. As much as I love these books, I don't think I could buy Bella's ring, because in my mind, it is just that...Bella's ring. Not for me. But that's just my thoughts.
What if they secretly own a private island somewhere? You know, some islands around Hawaii are privately owned. And they've been around for a long time and have accumulated a ton of money. So maybe the Cullens have a secret vacation spot where no one lives so they can go out in the beautiful sun!
As for the ring, not my style. And it's not what I pictured it to be. No surprise there, though. I guess I was thinking a little more vintage.
I agree about the ring. I guess I didn't read the description very well, because on the website they said that SM gave the okay on the ring as being exactly what she had pictured. I saw pave set diamond (lots of small ones around a bigger one), but smaller than these.
Okay Ruth that is EXACTLY what I was thinking for the honeymoon. Edward knows how much Bella loves the warmth and the sun and him sparkling in it. So I was thinking private island, definitely.
Of course if they are both vampires than I like your ideas AWB.
Blah on the ring. Do you have a source for SM saying its "exactly like she pictured?" I'm holding out hoping that it isn't.
What a great idea you guys! I actually didn't even think of that one. Of course the Cullens are wealthy enough to own an island or something tropical, they could have purchased it decades ago. Or rather, they're rich enough to rent and entire island for a few weeks. Because you're right, Bella will still be human on the honeymoon (sigh) and he's thoughtful enough to know how much she loves the warm. I think you 2 might be on to something! I guess we'll find out in (let me go check...) 44 days!!! Love the new counter by the way!!
As far as the ring, it's not what I pictured either. I don't hate it, but it doesn't fit I don't think. And if this many of us picutred something different, then Stephenie must have described it differently, don't you think? I'm sure she probably did give her okay to Twilight Teez for it, she does on all the Twilight related merchandise that they come out with, I believe. But as far as it being exactly what she pictured, I'd like to know if she really said that too. I pictured it a little more the way you're describing it as well AWB.
I went to the comment section about the ring on TwilightTeez and Bryan (who creates all the merchandise) said that pretty much SM signed off on every conceptual drawing, and it was what she pictured. Still, I had higher hopes. I guess I will just wait until we get to that part of the book and compare what is written and what I see.
