I couldn't help it...

I hope you all don't mind that I used precious posting space for this personal experience - but I really couldn't help it!

I SAW IT!!! I SAW IT!!! I SAW IT!!! I SAW IT!!!

I officially saw the real life, wide screen, absolutely amazing TWILIGHT TRAILER!!! I was sitting in a late movie - Narnia, and all of a sudden there appears the "Summit" logo - my friend and I (a closet TWaholic) nearly almost squealing - yes squealing - death gripped each other's arms. I realized at the end, that I had held my breath almost the whole time. Even though I have seen this 20+ times on my computer screen - it sure was better than I ever thought possible there in the theater. I really had to stop myself from screaming several times through it, and NOT clapping like a teenage girl after it was done!!! The theater wasn't very full - but you really could feel the electricity it brought from everyone's reactions - mostly women, turning to their significant other's and commenting! So, AAAHHHH, I was officially swept away!! - maybe dazzled?! At least left very breathless!!

I am so jealous. I am going to try to see Narnia tonight with my husband, so maybe I will be lucky enough to see the preview. I held my breath through the trailers on Indiana Jones, and was bitterly disappointed when nothing happened! How fun for you. I will have to let you know if I see it tonight. I'll cross my fingers.

So I am going to try and not feel bad that you went to a movie and saw the trailer without me. Since the movie I went to with you, I missed the trailer and any interaction I would have had with you. What did your DH think about your reaction (not the preview). Wow I really am insanely jealous.
You went to the movies on a weeknight? What theater?
Anyone want to go tonight?

too bad, my DH wasn't with me -actually, maybe it was better. I went down to the AF theaters! I met a couple friends from Orem to celebrate a birthday...it was great. Please don't feel too bad - I really didn't know that I would see it! Today was Hudson's birthday - I took her my copy of the Host, and my new Eclipse for a 'birthday token' not really a gift...I am so rude! But she's excited to read them!

Cool for you Erin! And what a wonderful, exciting surprise! To not even expect it, wow. I've been wanting to go to a movie lately, but I wonder if I'll be able to enjoy it or just be disappointed if I don't see a trailer of the movie in the previews...

Sure, I'll go tonight, oh wait, all the late shows have started, dang!

We snooze we lose. Hey lets go tomorrow after the barbeque. But I guess maybe you guys don't want to see Narnia since you haven't seen the first one. Call Jordan Commons tomorrow and see which movies will have the preview, kay?

lioness said...

Oh Duh, she saw it in American Fork. But I am sure JC is showing it with something.

Trish said...

Hmm, good idea. I think I will call the Commons, they seem to be the most with it on the previews (from BFB's experience at least).

lioness said...

Or I will. I very serious about going.

JACKPOT! Jordan Commons is with it! They had them all listed when I called. (I must not be the only crazy lady calling).

It plays on Maid(made?) of Honor, Don't mess with the zoehans (sp? have no idea what that is), INDIANNA JONES, Speedracer, Strangers, What happens in Vegas, and IRONMAN. (If you can't tell, I'm not really up on what movies are playing since I have only heard of half of them).

Anyone need a girls night tonight? After this week, I sure do.

BTY, the direct Jordan Commons number is 304-4577.

Adding a Twilight Moment - check out the new Auto Imports store just west of the 90th south I-15 exit. They have Alice's car on display.

Yessssss!!! I went to Jordan Commons last night with my dh. He hadn't seen Indiana Jones yet, so I went with him again. And I saw the Twilight trailer in the previews!! I was getting worried because there were like 4 or 5 previews already, and I just knew the movie was going to start, but the last preview was that one! I kept waiting for "Summit Entertainment" to show up when a preview was starting, and as soon as I saw it I grabbed Justin's arm. It was kind of annoying though, because he watched my face with a look of disbelief, for almost the whole preview. Just one more reason why I must see it with you girls the first and second times at least! A few ladies in the crowd behind us gave a "Woo!" when it was over, pretty funny. After the movie, we took a stroll down the other end of the building so we could see the poster hanging in the hall saying, "Coming Soon." So awesome!!! It makes it seem VERY real when you see those things in the theater. Now I can't wait for a longer trailer!! (I know, I always want more)
I called ahead of time too BFB! The guy I talked to was easily able to tell me which movies it previewed before, it was very convenient. I wish I would've asked him how many phone calls they get asking that! Believe me, we would have seen a different movie if needed, or snuck in to a different one at least!

It cracks me up that when you call Jordan Commons about it now, they aren't even surprised. They just say, "Hold on one moment and let me get the list." Too funny.

Oh, you bugger! I went to Indiana Jones and while I missed the first preview, I only missed one and I didn't see it! I wonder if they have changed, and are now showing it before more movies because of the response they are getting? That totallly carcks my up that the people at Jordan Commons don't even flinch now. I would love to know how many calls they get. BTW, i cannont even tell you how jealous I am the Alice's car is on display. And I am too far away to come see it. WAAHHHH!

betchafeelbetter said...

Last week when I called they said it wasn't showing in front of Indiana Jones, yet. And it was only showing in front of two movies, but she knew it was going to be changing soon. So I am guessing it was added to more showings on Friday.

betchafeelbetter said...

And that is only at Jordan Commons, other movie theaters have different mixes.

So does that mean we are going? I wonder what would be in the goody bag? I want to buy tickets, but only with your guys. So, will one person order all the tickets and everyone will pay them back?

Am I the only one who hasn't seen the trailer on the big screen yet?

My dh said he'll go with me to see the movie if I can't find any friends to go with me . . . how sweet! (We're not sure which state or country we'll be living in after September.) Although, I'm not sure I really want to see it with him. I won't tell you what his reaction was to the trailer (youtube version)--don't want to make any enemies.

lioness said...

NO can you believe it. I have been foiled 3 times in seeing it.
My latest was I took my kids to the drive-in. I spend the entire preview time, in a very uncomfortable half standing position in the back of my truck. Why? Because I was scanning every screen for the trailer. Nothing! Stupid cheap theater. So you really should fly to wherever we see the movie Ruth (unless you are oversea's) because as sweet as your DH sounds, who wants to watch something as a fanatical fan, very accepting and happy to see anything TW related, with a cinematically critical, teasy husband? So I'll cross my fingers for you that you will find a place to live with Twilight friends.

betchafeelbetter said...

Ruth, I am guessing that your husband's reaction was something like my husband's reaction. I'm definitely NOT watching the whole movie with him. (And he's usually pretty good about Twilighty things.)

Can you believe that of all the people in the theater when I saw the trailer, I was the only one who had the guts to cheer? What is wrong with the world. I heard the lady next to me take a quick breath when the Summit logo popped up, and then she started whispering to her husband, "Oh this is it!" But I was the only one who yelled "Whoo-hoo!" in the whole stinkin theater. You would have been proud of me, TM.
