With only a week and a day left until the movie, can we stand the excitement? There are so many new interviews that I can't keep up anymore. Don't miss my new post about why.
Here is a gorgeous picture to get you through. Our next post will be the movie discussion!
See you at the movies.

Have you seen???/ IN HONOR OF THIS SPECIAL OCCASION . . .

I know we are all in our 'summer business' mode - planning vacations, family reunions, trying to maintain some sort of organization and structure in our children's lives. But, I know I am not the only person who sees our little countdown timer whenever I log on to my favorite blog, right???

People - it says 30 days on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can you not be freaking out?!

I am in a pretty great spot in New Moon - maybe I need to make another post on that - I don't think I'm the only one still reading...

Anyway, I just wanted to give some much needed notice and attention to the fact that in less than one month - we will be devouring yet another masterpiece of one of our favorite authors! I can't believe how much I am still getting dazzled reading these books yet again - so many new thoughts and insights...I love it!!
BREAKING DAWN CELEBRATION DETAILS!!
HI ESMESSENCE , TM here now - do not worry, we are DEFINITELY FREAKING OUT! So in honor of this special day on the counter, here are the details for the best way to read that book coming out in less than 30 days now:
1. Breaking Dawn Book Review:
Join TA members Saturday August 2, for an all out gush fest over Breaking Dawn. We are all quite confidant we will have finished by then since we are picking up our books at midnight the night before. At almost 800 pages that is a rate of 44 pages per hour (for 18 hours, if you don't sleep). Hmmm that is a daunting number. I am going to time myself for an hour and see how many pages I read of New Moon.
Anyway that puts us meeting at 8:00 pm. I can't decide where yet, but I may owe a few people cheesecake, so somewhere they serve that.
2. Slumber Party:
Not a cyber party this time, its the real deal. Some of us want to relive our freedom years and one of us is hyper-social and needs to have people to squeal with at regular intervals. But we all know we are going to neglect our families for at least 24 hours. So we are planning a Breaking Dawn "read-together". We won't actually read the book together, but meet and read at the same time and place. We have reserved a beautiful "temple-view" bed and breakfast - The Cowdell House. Okay the Cowdell's is actually Trisha (RWV) and Jenn's (Cullenized) parent's house. They will be conveniently out of town that Friday night/Saturday. So anyone is welcome to join as long as you don't mind slumber -party style. You will be free to seclude yourself as much as possible. We'll just meet every so often to scream or cry together or whatever is required. Oh and the breakfast will be pot-luck. (We chose this location for the price/ - free. Well we thought we could kick in a little and give Trisha's parents a dinner out as a thank you). More details on this date to come as well!!!

Oh we haven't forgotten. RWV and I were trying to stay up and celebrate last night but we got to tired. We were going to bang pans and see if we could hear each other across Sego Lily. So band a pan everyone!!!
But I'm so happy you noticed!!!!!! YES! 30 amazing days. WOW WOW WOW!!! (Each wow getting bigger).

You just might be the only person still reading, but I will be soon. How dare you read without commenting? Hmmmm?

Glad to know an occasional person stops by here.

I have been gleeful at work every day when I log on, and it hit me yesterday that there was a month left!!!!! I cannot tell you how fast I am trying to read NM, because I definitely want it all fresh in my mind as I read BD. I am not sure how I am going to pull it off, since the 8th is my BIL's reception at our house and my MIL is in freak-out mode trying to get the yard and house ready. But literally, come hell or high water, I will be at that sleepover. I am thinking I might be late on Friday, and have to leave early afternoon Saturday, but I WILL NOT miss out on the opportunity of squealing with you all as we recount our favorite parts. Hopefully it won't cause a major family rift, but so be it. At this point, this book is my lifeline to SM's world, and I need that lifeline.

BTW, Esmessence, great job on the post. I am still not daring enough to try posting. It really intimidates me. Maybe one day I will get up the guts to do it. But thank you for calling us out on not marking the big "3-0"!

Well, I can't take full credit for the 'beautiful' finished product of the post - good thing we have MA to spice things up and make them look absolutely perfect...so thanks so much MA!! The picture is perfect! And sounds like the plans are GREAT!! I just hope I can pull off all of these girls outings in such a short amount of time...considering things are already set in motion for some others, I REALLY hope this one doesn't get frowned upon, crap, now I'm starting to freak myself out!!!

Okay, I commented on the Forks post, but I don't think anyone is reading that any more. So I just put two and two together and realized that the trip to Forks will happen shortly after the sleepover. I am still working out the details, and things are crazy (TM, I am still waiting for your long email with your opinion besides "TAKE IT") but I have a ticket for Seattle and so the plan is to go. Is anyone else going?

BYE, you can't click on the post for the slumber party above. Are the directions posted there?

Oh how fun! I just got back from Dublin last night and saw the new paperback EC yesterday over there. They had a huge pile of all 3 paperback books on a table with posters. They're having a BD party too! :)

E--I'm still reading too! I'm in the middle of NM and can't wait to get back to reading later on today. . .

Cool, thanks for the new post! I got on the blog the same day is was posted looking for something in particular and scrolled right past it, how sad! I wasn't expecting anything new I guess. It's definitely a waiting milestone worth mentioning! Like MA said, we noticed it at 31 days, with about 45 minutes left, but didn't quite make it I guess!
I am still reading too, I'm not as far as the rest of you it seems. I'm just finishing up with Twilight, in fact I'm ending the chapter in the hospital, and I printed off the prom remix, so yay!!!! I've got some good stuff coming before what's coming next. Honestly I'm not looking forward to NM, it is so hard for me when Edward leaves, I can't stand it!
Anyway, everyone is welcome at my parents! It's not too far from where most of us are, they live down a lane that is directly across from the Jordan River Temple. Thus the "temple-view" description. It will be a nice, quiet place to read! They have a private backyard with a deck and a nice view (not that we'll have our faces out of our books much to enjoy it, but it might add to the experience some), and a very cool basement if it's still so hot! I can't believe how fast it's coming, I am getting really excited now, the most that I have so far, and that's really saying something! I think the magic of reading Twilight is helping with that a bit too.......(sigh---hee!)

Whoo hoo, Hooray for BD & real slumber parties! I am banding my pan, TM. I will be there. My husband will probably prefer not getting disturbed in the middle of the night when I come home to read anyways.
June is over, hallelujah, perhaps the string of bad luck that went with it will end too.`Anyhow, I brought my book with my to my parents' so that I can finally start reading today. Are you proud?

lioness said...

Yes I am proud.

Duh, there is no link to details yet. Sorry.

And how did we get from 30 to 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
