So...my dh just finished Twilight. To my surprise, he didnt fall completely in love with it-lol.
He thought the author repeated things that Bella would say way too much, he thought Bella said too often how much she thought Edward was beautiful, etc. (big time intimacy issues I'm tellin ya) I found myself getting a little defensive and defending the book but after a bit I stopped and just listened and nodded in thought to what he was saying. He closed with saying that overall he really did like the book and is going to start NM tonight. He said he just needed to remember thats how teenage girls think, lol. Anyway, I'm glad he's going to continue reading the other books, he is entitled to his opinion, 'I guess'.lol. I just naturally assumed he would think it was just as wonderful as we all did our first time....He did do the personality test and his results were Emmet. Trish, what do you think about that? I'd ask the rest of the group but she's the only TW member that knows him-LOL-Well MA you've met and talked to him a few times, right? I'm curious to see what everyone else's hubbys have tested to be, thats an interesting subject....hmm

That's great Jenn! I didn't even realize he had started yet until Justin saw him yesterday, and he told me they chatted about it.
That's the trick I guess, is allowing them to have their own opinions about them. It's tough, believe I know.:)
I actually have forgotten to have Justin take the Cullen personality test. I do want to see what he gets too though. I think Emmett fits Jimmy pretty good, probably the best. He's cheery and fun. (He is the biggest guy in our family too.)
Well awesome, he must have liked it enough to want to start into NM. I really believe that a lot of guys don't want to fully admit how much they like the story. Anyone else agree?
Jenn, this is truly wonderful, wonderful news!
Your hubby must really, really, love you. He has come a long way on this!
Twilight is now being read by almost every DH. Marti use this propoganda on yours.
Oh yes, they go into it with an attitude. They just can't help it. I think it made a big difference that Jill's DH read it with her. But see they do like it overall. Jenn you need to be more excited. I might worry if our guys swooned and giggled. But really it is more of a girly book. I mean really. I am not surprised that the same detail that has us hyperventilating has them snoozing. And writing about something makes it more dramatic, so imagine, girls, teenage, and enhanced. Hard to handle for guys. Plus everythihg is from Bella's perspective. Now we can see why guys just don't "get" our way of thinking. They can't even phathom how our minds work, Bella's included.
So I think you better do something to celebrate. Just don't scare him away. I think I am the only New Moon widow. I might use that propoganda on my guy.
I didn't ask my husband to take the test, because I asked him what he thought one of my answers was likely to be when I took it and he wouldn't even answer that one question. So I don't think he would consider answering a full ten of them.
Mine finished Twilight last night as well. He said that overall he liked it too, once he learned to skim through the "mush" (sounds like they both have some intimacy issues in our lives, huh?) And he already told me that he is excited to find out about "these Volturi" - (he read chapter 1 of NM since it was included at the end of Twilight). I tell you, having that chapter included at the end of the book is a helpful thing for those of us who are encouraging someone to keep reading. TM, how did your husband resist that?
AH..really Trish? He didnt tell me they talked about it, only that he saw him at work. I'll have to ask him about that.Get him tested for the Cullens! I'm going to guess he might score high with Alice, just because of his excitedness (is that even a word?) about things, and how he likes to get involved in the fun stuff and always wants to help, etc.
MA,I reread my post and I didnt add any squeals about Jim reading the books, I do sound kind of drippish.
But here goes, SQUEAL!!! EEEEEE!!!
LOL I really am so excited he started reading, just watching him read has been the highlights of my days this week! One funny thing I have to add, last night when he was almost finished with Twilight, I was watching tv and hadnt realized he was reading so I kept talking to him and by my third interruption he sort of frustratedly dropped the book down on his stomach and said, "Jenn? Are you done with the questions cause I'm trying to read here!"
It was hard holding in a giggle while feeling excited butterflies in my stomach at the same time.
BFB, I think you should candidly ask your dh another time to take the test, just tell him its our assignment for the next meeting? ha
MA, are you saying Dave wont read Eclipse or he said he would but just wont make the time for it or what? I am so sorry I hope he will get back on the wagon with that soon.Do you want me to have a talk with him? j/k-ing, but seriously...lol
Dave isn't refusing to keep reading, and he hasn't even read NM Jenn, but he is the world's living Spock, when he wants to be. The most practically minded person I know, with the exception of his sister. That is how a living, breathing, human being can stop reading when 6 suddenly ravenous vampires are in the same room with Bella's drop of blood. He says he will finish them someday.
Jenn I used to be the same way. Have you forgotten my jumping on the bed, freaking out when my husband was reading, posts? Makes you wonder again how he could not read it just to see me so happy when I see him reading it. For flippin' sake, he could hide a non-fiction book inside and get away with it for a couple of days. It does bring joy to see husbands reading it, and then to have them comment, shush you for interrupting their reading (that is classic Jenn), and even tease in a Twilighty sort of way.
And yes Jenn the squeels were more how I pictured you feeling.
BFB take Jenn's suggestion about the assignment. Its important research!
Okay, I will do my best to get him to take the quiz - even if I have to read it to him.
Actually, your description of your husband as Spock is pretty much how my husband was raised. I've gotten him to relax a little, but he still has moments of guilt over not being practical/productive. He has a job he loves in animation, but still worries that he should change careers because he is not directly making the world a better place through his work.
He read the book on the bus - after scriptures and the paper. Otherwise, I don't know if it would have happened. Still, I'll take it; it is fun to have him actually know what I am talking about. So I'll do my best with the quiz, but no promises.
Ok, so he definitely liked NM better. I just had to mention this, its funny esp if you know what my dh and what a tough guy he tries to be.So he's getting ready to leave for work this afternoon he says, "So, ya know I'm on page 200?"
I says,"I thought you said you were done with NM?"
He says,"No-page 200 of the third one, whatever you call it."
*chuckle,(big grin) "Eclipse?"
He then says,"Yeah, now when is that next one coming out?"
So I told him when, and he drops his shoulders and says,"You mean I have to wait clear til August to see what happens next?"
LOL! He even asked me the other day if I knew they're making a movie about these books the other day,(uh,duh!I've told him this several times, what a good listener) he said one of his guys at work told him that, so he's talking about it on his own while on the job. *chuckle!
Now can you picture these dirty(its a dirty job) foul mouthed(most of the ones I've met speak in very 'choice' phrases)chew spitting(many of them are) rugged manly men discussing our chick book in a positive manner? Thats what cracks me up the most about it!
I'm not trying to dog these guys, most of them are really great family guys, but get them with each other and its testosterone time.....
You mean there's gonna be a movie?
Ha ha. So I liked that he was sharing exciting information with you, even if it wasn't news. That would be like me trying to share soccer news with my dh.
That is funny Jenn! These guys are so funny about our books. Has he said much about them? I know, I hate to press, maybe it's good to use reverse psychology or something. You'll have to share any moments. I love that he went right into Eclipse on his own, without you even knowing! And that is VERY funny to picture all those manly Railroad Engineers discussing Twilight.
Hey, maybe Justin and Jimmy secretly admitted to each other how much they really liked them...mmm?
That also is very funny that he asked if you knew they were making a movie! Even though you've told him, it took for one of his co-workers to tell him for him to actually hear it. So are the guys at his work reading for the same reason?
You know I have to stifle a laugh or snort or something, when someone says to me, "Did you know there's a book 4 coming out? And also one in Edward's perspective?"
Come on people!
Jenn you have got to be on cloud nine. Way to go baby!
BFB is your husband going to continue with the saga?
Did Justin ever finish Eclipse RWV? He wanted blood and guts. How about dismembering a vampire chick.
And I am just going to have to get it together some time and make a mock blog for the husbands to claim there "like" of Twilight. I meant to for Valentines day, but I wasn't feeling very lovey at the time. I can't ever imagine them even playing along with a co-ed Twilight meeting/dinner. I just can't, but it would be such a kick to actually get them to commit to talking seriously about it in a group setting. I think 2's is about as big as they can handle. When my husband gets with my brothers, he gets in even more trouble for teasing then usual. With 1 brother, its not too bad but a heavy dose of testosterone is not pleasant for the ladies. The boys sure think they are funny.
I agree with that totally. With just 1, Justin isn't quite so bad (I guess it depends who it is) but any more than that and he does the same thing and thinks he's just so funny.
So he's still reading Eclipse. Yesterday he said he was just about to read about Jasper's story. Didn't you get my update about the "Legends" chapter?
I'll have to check in later today with him. I'm always opening it and reading where he's at, then I have to try to stop! That's the problem.
He plans to continue reading, but just hasn't gotten around to it (the Spock gene coming out, I guess). I'll let you know if he picks it up again when he rides the bus tomorrow.
He did have a Twilight moment last night when I got a papercut. When I said "Ow," of course my daughter asked what was wrong. I told her, "I got a papercut" and he turned instantly and hissed at me with his hands raised in the air like claws.
With his hands raised in the air like claws? Um. . . vampires are not kitty-cats. When SM says they hiss, well I don't picture it as sounding feline. J/K of course. At least he is trying? Ever tried a soccer joke on him?
And RWV I am ashamed to say, I must be behind on that update. I did get behind a couple of days ago. I will make ammends soon!
Let me guess, he love the "legends". Men are from Mars after all.
I know vampires aren't kitty cats, but at least I finally got him to stop hissing whenever I turned on the lights, claiming he was a vampire, right? He has done that for years.
And it was a very good hiss.
Don't you think she does describe them as a bit feline? Not kitty cats of course - something a little more dangerous?
You are right of course. Victoria is described that way. And Edward, yes, him too. I don't know, I guess the image just struck me as a less than successful trying to be funny husband. But all efforts get credit right?
So are vampires known for hissing. I know nothing about any other vampires than SM's.
You know, now that I think about it, I have no idea how he connected hissing with vampires. I don't know much about non-SM vampires. I'll have to ask him.
Please do, I am very curious now.
Apparently hissing is a "signature" vampire action in all the old movies. They hiss when they see light or attack someone, etc. And they use their "claws" - non-kitty cat claws.
Here is a 1-minute example of the very first vampire movie Nosferatu.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlbtHskZxVI
Ahhh, here's a good "hissy" vampire moment. This was 1933, Bella Lugosi - the classic Dracula.
(Apparently, vampires in old movies also used "the force.")
This is a very funny, off the wall conversation about hissing, I love it. I love that you actually even found an example of it on youtube, hilarious.
You know, Justin has hissed a few times when teasing me, but it's not very attractive, I don't like it. Still, I'll take anything I can get I guess. Anything Edward does, hissing, snarling, growling I'm sure it's a turn on in some way. He does give Rosalie a low hiss in Twilight in the cafeteria, remember? We'll find out in MS what mean things Rosalie is thinking in her head to make Edward warn her...
Anyway, I have enjoyed this. And I do have a hard time picturing Edward as feline. Mountain lion, yes I can do that. Cat, no.
Just to clarify, I DON'T imagine that Edward's hiss is anything like the one in that youtube video. No way, Jose.
So that was creepy. But I couldn't really hear the hiss. There are several hiss references in Twilight. I don't think anyone has ever asked SM about that. But I don't think she would have taken her hissing from stereo types.
When the Cullens do it I only imagine it as sounding very cool and dangerous.
Oh yes, VERY cool and dangerous.
(And sexy too, if it's Edward, no offense dh but I think I almost get spit on during that hiss)
Do I dare admit what I think is sexy? When he moves into his "ready" stance before he launches at Bella in his room. Mountain LION!
Should I be ultra cheesy and add something like:
grrrrrrrrr!
Oh yeah! That is "ultra" sexy, I agree! Grrr! Actually, just about every time Edward takes on that stance protective or playful, it's basically sexy. Don't you agree BTY?
Wow, what a night of confessions...more of you ought to get less sleep (like us) and stay up to admit things like this that might otherwise embarrass us...hmm?
Funny what post this is all happening on.
Do you really need to ask if I agree? Could Edward, who could make the name Fitzwilliam seem sexy, do anything in an un-sexy way? To name just a few, he writes, drives, speaks, walks, raises his eyebrows, stares, defends, over-reacts, chastises, pinches the bridge of his nose, climbs in windows, changes shirts, has arms, all in the sexiest manner!
We can't really be embarrassed about pointing out obvious facts. And there is this magic little eraser on the blog if we are embarrassed when we wake up and read our comments through rested eyes.
Well said! I think you got just about everything, you witty little BTY. Well, sometimes he raises just one eyebrow, and he smiles crooked (sigh), and plays baseball really well, and can dismember an extremely evil she-vampire (yes, still sexily), plays the piano, catches things before the hit the ground, has marble lips, just to name a few more. And could make any name sexy, even Fitzwilliam! Ha!
Well, sadly only BFB and Jenn might get all our hilarious comments :(
Too bad for the rest of ya'll!
I think we are more entertaining than a Seinfield episode for sure.
We must have missed something. Oooh, he can answer a cell phone, pull off someones motorcycle helmet, rip of tree branches, come in out of the rain, or snow, answer biology questions, turn his chair in a friendly direction, not eat his lunch at school, get mad at Alice, admire Carlisle, let Esme hug him, pulverize metal flowers, listen to C.D.'s in cars, order Coke at a restaraunt, . . .
Ok, here's where I have to cut in and let you two know I am laughing with tears reading the almost 25 alerts on my yahoo!
Ok, carry on...
Uh Trish...it appears I am not Cullenized yet.Is there a problem? LOL just j/k-ing
Oh crap Jenn, or Cullenicious or whatever your name is, how about a nice Southern name. How about littlebloggingirl.
So I was trying to wrap things up. What is wrong with Cowdells anyway? Midnight is when they wake? Hey didn't Justin say you were most likely a vampire BTY?
Seriously RWV, make her a "littlebloggingirl" then I will need a "pit-stop" every time Jenn gets on the blog.
I need one now. Sorry it is late. Its your fault!
littlebloggingirl...
ew, sounds like an inbreads name or something doesnt it?
Did Justin really say that? Isnt that the sweetest thing ever!
BTY, I think my dad is a real life vamp cause he raised us to be night people.
Now I do like Cullenicious, but it sounds a little pornographic now doesnt it?
Like Jillicious remember?
Its actually going to be Cullenized, we've come to an agreement over a long 2 1/2 minute debate, right Trish?
ahem, there will be no pitstopping on me......
Oh man, my stomach hurts...
Well, the problem is that I can't stop commenting back and forth on several posts almost all at once (very technical you know), to go get that done for you!
Sorry missy, I'll get right on that...
We do take after our Dad, he's a total vampire (worked graveyard shift his whole life), learned behavior on our part I suppose. Yes BTY, Justin does say I'm like a vampire because of my cold skin of course, but I'd like to think there are other reasons as well.
Cullenicious! That almost sounds like a pornstar's name...
Yes Cullinicious was a JOKE! We don't want anything more suggestive than the vision of Edward's hiking shirt. So speaking of:
Jenn, or Cullenoscopy, or whoever you are, you are missing another classic discussion on the "Only Edward" post. I have been trying to be patient waiting for you to finally get to reading and viewing it because I know you will have something profound to add.
Like what other reasons does he think you are like a vampire?
And we are changing our code word TM/RWV/BTY. "Pit-Stop is OUT!" thanks for that Jenn/Cullenutty
How about a re-charge, or refresher, or I've got it, I was stopping in for another "dose". Thats right, it wasn't my only reason for going that day, and I was to shy, yes shy sounds right, to ask in person about a super-sized dose.
WE are idiots! Compliment if taken out of the pages of Twilight!
Ok you get right on that......lol
I'm really j/k-ing--
Oh I thought MA was saying that Justin said that about me most likely being a vampire--
But Trish you really could be one with that cold skin...I used to have cold skin til the hormones kicked in, what does that mean in vampire world? Am I the first to become human again?
Oh Rats! How do I get back?
I'm just laughing now, and don't know what to write anymore. I've tried to think up another Cullen... something, but I'm done, stick a fork in me...(Seinfeld?)
Jenn/Cullenitis! Get over to that post "Only Edward" you'll appreciate.
Seriously, idiots.
Oh Jenn, don't be sad you don't have cold skin. This is a whole new issue. If a vampire has warm skin it is because they have been close to a warm human. So its all that snuggling with your Twilight reading human hubby. That's all. Don't worry.
You seem very vampirey to me. Of course SM points out that vampires are horrible, so I will say you seem very Cullenistic to me. Kay?
He hasn't compared anything else, I'd just like to think that myself. For instance, the late hours. Oh, and the dark circles under my eyes at times. Oh and when I get hungry I get ornery. See...
Hey, Cullenistic, just when I thought you were out of them.
Oh, good grief..
Ok,TM/MA...I KNOW Cullenicious was a joke,silly.
I just like the sound of it, reminds me of Edwardlicious....
Ok I just looked at the list, I dont see an Only Edward post.Whats it called on the list? I'm too Cullenutty right now.I need a Cullenoscopy fast!
Alright now just calm down and take a little something for your Cullenitis (do I get the dork award or what). The "Only Edward" post is right above the "Jimmy" post on the main blog page.
You can find it Jenn. I know you can!
Hope you enjoy these BFB, you're probably it, sadly.
You might get the dork award, but I'm still laughing at the dorkiness.
He RWVTCBTY - I thought maybe you were hoping for a trait like sending tingles when you touch J. with your cold skin. You know, stuff like that.
I really think I will be too embarrassed to show my fingers on the blog tomorrow. But late hours impair judgement. Please don't gag on every Cullen. I've gone too far, I know.
Maybe the fact that some guy named Jimmy reading twilight, has registered close to 50 comments, will catch someone elses eye?
That's what I was thinking, it'll get someone for sure I bet. Lucky them.
Late hours do impair comment judgement, but this sure isn't a first...
Haven't heard from Jenn in a while, she must be reading over that other post (and drooling perhaps).
So whos RWVTCBTY? I know who RWV is, and I got the BTY, but the TC leaves me....
Yes I found her over there whining about our "story". Really I don't know if I could spit it out tonight. Or maybe we should because it would be funnier that way. I think I've only got about 10 minutes left in me.
Well actually......
I've already seen that pic...and drooled...and dribbled..and drooled some more...that was a fascinating choice for his pic! I thin you should call wardrobe immediately before they make some hideous mistake!
Oh Crap. Do you guys plot to gang up on me. You know I can't abbreviate after about 4:00 in the afternoon. I'm not on a "rock-star" high you know.
TC is Totally Cullenized, no its Trisha Cowdell, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so i'm a whiner gimme a break ok? I really should be in bed too, its my daughter's birthday tomorrow (today) and I have to get up and make her breakfast
I was wondering, are you mad at Justin since youre referring to her with her maiden name
Hey, I just figured you were abbreviating my maiden, no biggy, I got it, it's just been about 13 years since I've used those initials.
And hey, no caffeine for me tonight, this all natural baby...
That's a good one!! HA! You'll show him!
I know, but when your on a crack -high, whoah I mean making cracks at your Twilight friends high, not the other kind of crack high. Does crack give you a high or a low? See, innocent.
I think you should be amazed that not only can I keep up with 3 posts on the blog, in rapid response mode, but I can also leave endings off an endless amount of words, and create an ongoing list of words starting with Cullen, and then still have the wherewithall to abbreviate with your maiden name.
Do I get the dork award or the genious award?
And Hey Justin, if you ever read this, well Trisha Cowdell and I are so going on girls night out without any boys! So just tend those kids, and my dog, and YES he is named after the VAMPIRE!!!!!!!!!!
3 posts? Whats the 3rd one? I'm only on 2! Come on, dont be shy...
BTY whens our next meeting?
You may get the duel award, very impressive. You get wittier the later it gets. Not sure about crack, high I think. And I've been in RRM myself MAJ. (Rapid Response Mode, just in case you didn't know :)
You go girl! And you bring that dawg too!
Sorry, Jenn you missed our other one, we kind of ended that one a bit ago. Hey, you snooze you loose.
Oh and I meant to say, Trisha and Culleniscious and I are going out! So there!
The other post is small comparitively. Still some good stuff though.
Jenn, dear, now, you need to actually go to the blog sometimes and start reading from the top, then scroll all the way down and look at all the pretty things there. Then you can even click on the bottom of the blog, where it says, "older posts", these are for older women, past 40.
Wait an "older woman" cannot be referred to as Culleniscious. So I retract that statement. No, actually older posts take you to posts that are not much more than 7days old. They are still pretty too. And fun to reread or comment on if you never got around to those posts.
Try it this way. You will enjoy it.
(Its the movie news of the week post and I am fading soon. . .)
Oh, man.Well maybe I can at least get the dual award then.
Why cant I be in RRM? I'm in SSM (Super Slow Mo)
I think I have laughed longer and harder at this session than any other. Funny, funny goofballs!
Seriously, this is the most exercise my stomach has gotten in months!
And I'm afraid Cullenicious is going to stick, not matter what we change your name to.
Well, MA now that I know how you really feel.....I'll try to remember my bifocals next time so I can keep up! But guess what, I can just sport my Depends and make my own pit stops the same time I'm bloggin while you youngins still have to go into the bathroom! See, there are advantages of being old.........
I was just going to say I think I might actually be sore in the morning. And speaking of morning, we do have to get up sooner than later. Thank heaven, literally, my 3 kids have hot lunch tomorrow!!!
So lets all quit together. I can't stand it otherwise.
Senior Vampire Miss - are you willing to call it quits too?
Ooh, thanks RWV, I feel so sexy now, bein all 'licious and everything....
Sorry old-maid, I just got that one, and you win the make-us-need depends-award for sure!
Ouch, ouch, my stomach!
Wait, am I the Senior Miss Vampire or is Cullenicious? Like as in senior citizen like Jenn? Or more like a senior in high school like me?
And for idiots sake, the other post was the "blog progress" post, but it has a measly 21 comments or something like that. Not worth staying up for, except the sexy Edward descriptions. I can't remember where we put those.
Senior, as in Citizen, hey I'm trying to build her up here. Don't be jealous. Your hubby thinks your like a vampire. You don't need to be beauty queen too.
Okay I vote everyone give their closing statement. I have got to call it quits. I haven't stayed up this late in weeks.
Poor BFB is going to have over a hundred email combined tomorrow. I hope we don't shut anything down!
We put the sexy Edward descriptions on this post, interesting I know.
True, I'd rather be a vampire than a beauty queen, then again I'd be that anyway...
You hang in there Cullenicious.
Yeah RWV you WISH highschool senior...that would be me
Ok I'd say thats a good closing statement for me..
nite girlies!
Night Lish...and nice one to end on, you burned me a good one.
I know, you shouldnt mess with the senior. I've got YEARS of experience
You two are each beautiful in your own way. All I got crowned with was the dorky genious award.
Someone out there who makes it too this point, go back and find our Sexy Edward descriptions and add too it. That is worth reading tomorrow. And since whats her name, RWVetc. and I have the administrative priveleges here, well, just keep your responses mild. We will be touchier in the morning. And just cut the crap about the hour of day, okay? We know, we know. And it doesn't happen THAT often.
Sorry for saying cut the crap. Girls, I have got to go to bed. Oh shoot, no one look at the posting time, please. Just be happy for us. We are happy!
Going to bed happy. Waking up happy. Bye!
Those Sexy Edward descriptions were a brilliant idea. But I am brilliant didn't you say? And you're a genius of course. I may add some to them myself.
Ok then, goodnight now really.
Sorry, I'll have to change your name tomorrow Lish, as well as start the new post MAJ. This was worth it though! I'm going to bed happy.
yeah, yeah, we all know you got the brains, Miss Brilliant.
But I got the Depends!
Somehow that doesnt sound very fair
Miss Brilliant Senior in High School Vampire, that is.
Good night, REALLY!
For the record, the "hundred or so" comments in my inbox were 138 (133 from you guys). To think, I missed all this by like 15 minutes...
Adding to the Edward descriptions... you missed something MAJOR. Seriously, you might have to go back to TW-101 for missing this one. I'll give you a moment to think about your ommission to see if you can redeem yourself by figuring it out.
Adding to the sexy Edward list.
He chuckles "throatily."
Sobs for Bella when James bites her, carries her in his arms when she is exhausted.
Lifts her into jeeps with one hand, and buckles her seat belt in a very non-parental way.
Ok, so I guess I'll be the first of us to show my face this morning. I'm just slightly embarrassed I guess.
So wait, which is the major thing we missed? Did you add it already, or is there something else?
Please do tell!
Basically everything Edward does is sexy, can anyone think of anything to the contrary?
No, I didn't add the major thing. It is probably too obvious.
And no disagreement from me on the "everything Edward is sexy" statement.
His smoldering eyes? His hair? It must be a feature of his right?
Not a feature, an action...
Ahhh, kissing? Lips, neck, jaw, forehead, hollow of throat, fingers, etc?
YES!
Uh, duh. Really we've had entire discussion just about Edward's kissing, so I didn't really think it was neccesary to mention the blatantly OBVIOUS. We are looking for the little things. Like quoting Romeo or Heathcliff's lines, filling out college applications, running up large flights of stairs carrying his eternal love, sharing his leather jacket, spinning a lemondade bottle lid, carrying same girl-to-be-his-eternal-love to the nurses office, sluffing class, wearing V-neck sweaters, biting pizza. And I particularly like your referene to buclking seat-belts in a very non-parental way. No one, in existence or otherwise, could make seat-belt buckling sexy like Edward does.
NO-ONE!
Was laughing all the way to bed last night, and had a hard time stiffling giggles at the gym this morning. You just can't lift weights while laughing.
Gotta go run now. Be back later.
Still, if we are compiling a list, it should at least be mentioned, even though it is a given.
Here's some (less OBVIOUS) ones:
the way he tampers with Bella's memory...
the way he is never mad at Bella, only with himself
Ok, so I was going to mention that one! I just read the scene where Edward is whispering Romeo's lines in her ear - his irresistable, velvet voice. I've tried to imagine what his voice much sound like...
...MUST sound like...
(geez, only when I don't preview first!)
Now that is an image I have never been able to capature. His voice. I think I like that Edward is elusive, at least in my mind. Except of course for that picture of him at the mall, oh yeah thats the story you are all dying to hear on another post.
Well, I wasn't sure if I should put this on Twilight Moments or this one since its about Jimmy reading the books. I've just seen a very familiar site yesterday and today thats reminded me of myself and of those of you who've told your story about reading the books.
ANYWAY, so he's on Eclipse, right? Well, he hasnt been able to put that book down AT ALL.We went out to dinner for my daughter's birthday tonight, and he brought the book of course to read on the way, we all walked into the building and guess who was still sitting in the car reading?
He also read it on the way home with the light on in the car,and me and my daughter were trying to talk onthe way home and he kept doing that UH! sound cause we were breaking his concentration.(he's reading it right now with the tv on mute)I'm not sure what I've created here.....
Anyway, he did ask a good question that I myself haven't really put much thought into, have any of you? He asked,"Why doesn't Bella have to stay away from him for 4 to 5 days out of each month?(her period) Wouldnt the smell of blood make him crazy?"
I tried to come up with how after he feeds he's ok, but he commented on that constant odor around all those vamps.Interesting....disturbing that he thought of that more than me and that he thought of that at all....
Jenn your husband is going to be placed in the Hallmark category, wow.
SM does explain about Bella's period. It is on the Lexicon in personal correspondances I think.
It's old blood and Edward is a gentlemen. Something like that.
So I guess Jimmy rasied a house full of girls?
Did you all like how I spelled capture?
Yes, he's been alone with 5 females for 18 years up until 2 years ago when little Nathan arrived. So,he's very aware of the female functions, nonetheless. Thanks for that insight, that helps!
And BTY, nevermind you about me and my walking capacities.Me and my walker are doing just fine.I think Edward would find it super sexy anyhow...
I noticed your capature MAJ. But I wasnt gonna say anything this time lol
Or about the rasied either.Nope not gonna say a word.
I can't spell but at least I can walk unassisted.
But you are right, if you were Edwards soul mate, he would make a girl in a walker feel like she was in her princes' chariot.
And I can't have another slumber party for a few days or I will turn into the wicked step-mother. Dumb old responsibility.
HA you and me both, today was awful hard trying to be nice for the birthday.Thats the only reason I'm still up.I'm off to bed shortly. Nite all...
Don't forget to leave a litte hello on some other posts. You can't hog all 103 comments to yourself Jenn. I hope your daughter had a wonderful birthday. You were a perfect angel I'm sure.
I'm starting to laugh again. I better stop before too long, or else.
I noticed the capature as well, sorry. But not the other that Cullenicious spotted, cut her some slack, geez.
Anyway, this has been a fun post, I'm going to read through all our hilarious comments soon, but my laughing is making my dh kind of nuts right now already. He has no idea!
hey there you die hards!
yes she had a pretty good birthday thanks for asking-
thanks for having my back rwv
Umm, I'm pretty sure I was telling you to cut MA some slack by catching BOTH of her misspells! HA!
Sorry, I do have you're back too. You should really stop making fun of someone who has to use a walker MA.
See?
Behave yourself.I'd hate to see you get thrown into a dirt hole by a carwash.....
HA!
You two lost me on that one!
Sorry for making fun of you and your walker Jenn. Your the funnest old lady I know.
Did Jimmy finish? Can he even admit how much he loves, sounds like more than like, loves these books?
Very funny Jennifer! I am eternally damaged from the car wash incident.
Just kidding, that really is pretty funny that you said that to me, you really got me there!!
We'll have to tell you later MA, sorry to keep you in suspense.
It's a good thing you 2 aren't up right now, because I'm laughing quite hard right now, that was a good one Jenn.
You'll be sorry...you big meany.
:)
Oh my word, I dont even care if you tease me, as you can tell by me teasing me too-LOL-I love you!
He's done, he says he really liked them and he plans to read the 4th one when I get it too. He's really interested in reading MS especially. He says the one thing he didnt care for too much was reading from a teenage girls' point of view, but it was still good.
Oh I know! That was really so mean! I mean like how old were you, 5? I just wanted to look cool in front of Annette but then I couldnt because of some little kid........no I'm totally kidding and I do feel so bad about that really!
