Quote of the week February 19-26

Quote #1:His eyes were wickedly amused.
"Will you please allow me to finish?"

Quote #2:"I'll always want you," I reminded him...

Bonus:"I demand that you take me home."

It's my turn to do the quotes this week, that way Twilightmom can have a chance to guess right along with the rest of you. I hope they aren't too easy, but have fun anyway!

Same rules apply of course. If by chance anyone gets stumped this time around with any of them I'll give hints as we go along. One of them I shortened to give less of a hint away at first. Remember one guess on one quote per day, and no books! Have fun!

lioness said...

I know the bonus, but the other too, hmmm. Remember I haven't actually read my books since October. That is a looooooong time.

Oh brother, I am looking and feeling like a dork. I do know how to spell the word - two!

So I was about to post a guess on #2, then I thought I caught the scent of #1 and now I'm not sure on either. How do you gals stand this. Is this fun?

Trish said...

It's tough, but still fun I think. I'm very pleased that you are in a different set of shoes this week. I had no clue of last week's quotes for days! And I had even just finished researching kisses! You haven't even guessed anything for today! If you're still up, I expect at least an off the wall guess for one of them. (Except the bonus, of course I know you'll hold off on that one for a bit longer)

I told you I was going to guess, but then I got kind of shy. I couldn't stand that I am clueless here. Not clueless, just very unsure.

So I will guess on #2 -
Is it at the prom, when they are outside talking about their future?

These are so fun - sorry another early night last night for me...hopefully I'll get rid of this one of these days. I hate to guess so early in the day, but my first thought for quote #2 is in Eclipse, after she has kind of flipped out over how close graduation is. They are at Charlie's house, and they are talking about becoming a vampire, will she be the same - then Edward brings up marriage again...wow, I'm not sure I'm right, but there you go!!

betchafeelbetter said...

#1 - The morning after the three boys ask Bella to prom and Edward asks her if she has plans that Saturday. (I love the line you quoted)

Bonus - When they are running from James, after the baseball scene when Edward is still driving AWAY from Forks.

And great picture on the post. Is that really Rob? Or is it some other bronze haired boy?

lioness said...

Oh I bet that is it BFB, quote #1. I can hear that conversation now. That was sure fast. I might have to label you the next BTY.

I'm not sure if it is Robert, but almost certain. I'm not good with remembering my sources. But I love to hear that you all love my pictures. I get an imbalanced amount of pleasure from finding and posting pictures.

Hey no fair guessing the bonus, you unquenchable quotee. I'll wait a day or two to tell you what my bonus guess was. I know only a few of us play along here, but I love it. This is fun being on the guessing end of things.
Those of you that don't guess, what do you think about while running errands?

lioness said...

And BTW, being a BTY is quite cool, in a sassy blogging kind of way.

betchafeelbetter said...

Sorry, I thought it was allowable to guess the bonus with the quote. I withdraw my guess.

And I am flattered that I could be a BTY. I enjoyed reading that conversation you two had.

As far as what I think about while doing errands - I wonder what Edward & Bella are doing right now. Or Alice. Or the other Cullens. I save the quote thinking for housework. It makes it much more bearable.

lioness said...

Ha ha, you can't withdraw a guess, BFB/BTY, you will just have to wait for public confirmation on that one.

Thats funny. I think more about favorite Twilight scenes during housework than quotes. The quotes actually stress me out a bit. Except for finding ones to stump you all with. That is great fun!

#2 - This one is tricky because there are a lot of spots where something similar is said. I think this is in one of two places, but I am still trying to recall the specifics.

So I am guessing that this one is when they are in the hospital and Edward tells Bella he will stay as long as she wants him, to which she replies, "I'll always want you... Forever."

Trish said...

Well, you got #1 correct, nice job. I was hoping it'd be as tricky as #2, but oh well.

So far, no one has gotten #2 right, so keep guessing on that one.

As far as the bonus, I'll wait a few days to see if anyone has any other ideas or guesses before I comment further. I guess we never technically posted any rules about the bonus question, it's just been something fun to add the last 2 weeks!

Anyway, good job! This is fun being on this end...

Trish said...

BTW, I'm pretty sure that picture is of Rob.
I'm your source on that one MA, I remember finding it somewhere and loving it. So no offense, but I'll take credit for the find. Perfect spot to place it though!

lioness said...

Thanks for narrowing down one of my guesses BFB. Okay, hmmm. . . which one to try next. I'm sure its not somewhere obvious but those are the only scenes I can identify.
How about in Eclipse when they are talking about why she doesn't want to be married and he doesn't want her to be a vampire. I doubt if this is it, but I am trying to think of more subtle places.

Trish said...

Now that sounds like a similar guess to E's guess yesterday doesn't it?
Let me know if you're thinking of the same scene or not. I may give you some slack if so...

lioness said...

Oh for idiots sake. I wasn't putting together her shock of the graduation date scene with the conversations they had about understanding each other scene. So yes, I'll take the slack please.

Now I don't know. October really was SO long ago. And that was early October. Some TW expert I'm turning out to be. And yet I am so excited to rediscover so many moments when I finally read our books again.

lioness said...

So I have been trying to calmly ponder this, but it is driving me CRAZY! So I can't think about it all night like I intended. I'm just going to throw out a too obvious one.
How about, after she tells Jacob goodbye, and Edward asks her if she made the right choice.

Trish said...

Well, I'm glad you at least guessed for the day.
But, sorry, that's not it either. Sounds like you probably already knew that though.
Keep trying guys!

lioness said...

Cydne hurry and do your next guess. If you are right, I'll be out of my agony. If you are wrong I'm going to start begging for some hints.

betchafeelbetter said...

I wish I had a next guess.

I am still trying to remember the scene it is in.

Maybe this will help someone. I'm thinking that this might be when Edward is telling Bella that if she were to ever outgrow him, or no longer wanted him that he would understand - one of THOSE (many) conversations.

Well, here is a guess anyway. After Volterra when they talk in the bedroom - don't they discuss something like this?

lioness said...

I thought you had said you had another guess. And sadly that doesn't help me, because those are exactly the same words going through my head. And that is why I keep thinking it is in Eclipse.

Maybe after the vote in New Moon. Hmmm. Thats not an official guess, I'm just musing.
I also thought maybe the Prom. So everyone think about those. I hope I'm not cheating here.
But somehow I think maybe it in a more fleeting conversation. One not so serious.
So do we want a hint yet? Erin what do you think?

betchafeelbetter said...

I did have a second guess, but changed my mind. So now I'm back to going through everything in my mind again...

Trish said...

Sorry, wrong again guys. Even on all you musings MA. (I'm trying to be a little helpful).

Let me know if you want a tiny hint. I can at least add some of the line that I cut out. It really isn't somewhere that you'd (or at least I) expect. Is that a hint?

Esmessence said...

Let's see - I did have a thought, but I need to go back through and read the comments to make sure it wasn't already listed.

betchafeelbetter said...

Ha ha ha! I think I figured it out! I went to bed early tonight and while I was drifting off to sleep, dreaming of Twilight, it finally clicked.

So I think #2 is at the beginning of New Moon, after the birthday party, when Edward is getting ready to leave. Bella asks him if he is going to come over later or spend the night - something like that - and he replies sadly, "If you want me." To which Bella responds, "I'll always want you."

Is that it? Hurry hurry tell me now!

Annalyn said...

So much for thinking I had some time on a 'slow weekend' - but good job...I'm excited for the new ones though!

Trish said...

So yes, as I'm sure you know by now, you are right BFB! Nice job, I'm quite impressed. I don't think I would've guessed that part, it's not one of the expected places for that type of line. I came across it by accident myself, and thought it'd be great to use. It actually did last us a little longer than some weeks! The full line says:

"I'll always want you," I reminded him, with perhaps a little more intensity than the conversation required.

It is a very sad part, a sad beginning to an even more devastating ending. This is sort of at the beginning of chapter 3 in NM.

Anyway, MA, do you want to put in your guess for the Bonus? Was is any different than BFB's guess?

lioness said...

Oh yes I had the bonus from the start. That shouldn't sound cocky since I failed at the others.

lioness said...

So this is quite an old post, but I just grabbed my Twilight book for a minute tonight and came across the exact same words as the quote here, just in a different place and with a different ending. I wonder how many times the exact phrase
"I'll always want you," is found.
Does anyone want to guess where else it might be?
Oh and it ends with, "forever".
It's not at the prom or in the hospital, those were already guessed on this post. Its okay if you dont want to guess but I was sure struck by it today. And I will mark it so I don't lose it like I did E's quote for this week.

betchafeelbetter said...

It seems like Bella says this early in their relationship - perhaps the meadow?
