6/3 - Here is a longer interview from the MTV "Larry". Roberts is almost normal. Its fun to watch.
So here is the supposed "first completed movie scene" although it didn't look complete to me. Its actually a little choppy but at this point, WHO CARES? Its Twilight, so we love it!.
Also here is a link to pictures of Kristen and Rob at the MTV awards.
And here are some silly videos of Rob but the one about his outfit is hysterical, since we are so attuned to his attire. Kristen and Rob a couple? is here, Rob's wardrobe improvement is here. He really is kind of a geeky English guy. One more reason I am convinced he has a crush on Kristen (who I heard has a boyfriend) is in this 17 magazine article. Its very short.
And here are some silly MTV questions for the cast (this one is about a week old, so you may have seen it.)
This is a Lexicon video interview with the movie producer. Kind of interesting.
Enjoy.

Wow, that is really cool!! James is very creepy, that's how I would imagine him talking to Bella in that scene, with that polite tone but such an underlying evil, condescending meaning. Cool! Of course I wish it was longer, but I liked seeing something put together like that. Awesome!
I like those pictures of Rob & Kristen at the MTV awards, they both look really good. Funny about Rob's wardrobe, so that is one of "Edward's" shirts right? I tried to pull up the 17 magazine article, but it kept taking me to the MTV site again, am I doing something wrong?
That would be kind of cute if they hooked up, after portraying a romance like Bella & Edward's, who could blame them?
Okay I fixed the Seventeen link. Sorry about that. And warning. It is probably the ugliest picture I have ever seen of him.
They are very cute on the runway though. i love twilight! Did you know?
Has any one notice the Coutdown meter today.
Holy freakin-oly!
AHHH!
The countdown isn't showing up on my computer. It's been doing that a lot lately, very hit and miss, sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't. Dumb.
So anyway, what does it say??!!
That counter has been doing the same to me lately as well. Dumb cheap service.
Oh well.
At this moment it says 60, only 60 days until you know what! Wahoo!
And in 36 minutes it will say 59!
Of course, I LOVE the wardrobe bit. The guy must really hate shopping if he keeps his old costumes to wear. Maybe that's where the famous jacket came from.
At least the Edward clothes will get him more up to date.
59 days!
I have to say that I loved the scene, but I want more. And as for the interviews, I am not so sure about Robert's crush on Kristen. I think he is just giving those answers to fuel the Twilight craze. It makes for good publicity. And she sure didn't seem crazy about him during that interview. She looked annoyed to me when the MTV girl asked that question.
But Robert is super cute, and seems like a shy guy. I hope he translates better on the screen. Edward isn't shy, he is aloof. Cannot wait. And I watched the counter go from 60 to 59 yesterday, and it hit me that it is only 3 months!!!! AAAAAHHHHH. Cannot wait, must read first chapter over and over and over again.
I don't know if he has a crush on her or not, but he clearly thinks she is an great actress - he says something about how amazingly talented he thinks she is in nearly every interview they have.
Thinking back a little bit in my own life, it seems pretty easy for a person to be in awe of someone who has more self-confidence than you do. It seems that despite all the crazed fans, Rob doesn't really believe in his own talent that much. He seems to think that this is a one-time thing - he is always making comments about being unemployed after this, or turning to music since no one will hire him. Great if he does, but it will have to be because he wants to do music, not because he is washed up as an actor.
I don't think he is love with her, but definitely a litte in awe. I think you pegged him BFB. Not that we really have any idea, but I hope he adjusts soon, so he can come across with a little more confidance.
But his awkwardness makes me sympathetic to his clothing plight.
June 3 - I added a link to another, longer interview from the MTV awards. It's fun.
I know, I almost feel bad for him. Maybe he really doesn't know how to dress and is starting to feel insecure. Maybe he knows we've been making fun of all of his plaid shirts.
Actually miss AWB, I have good news, it's really only 2 months (technically, less than that now, but whose getting techinical!)
I figured you probably knew that anyway, but I couldn't resist to clarify.
Holy cow! How do you girls manage to keep up-to-date with all of this?! I'm very impressed with anyone (probably all of you) who have actually watched all of these videos and read all of these articles. I'd love to, but I have to sleep sometime. Agh. I'm getting stressed just thinking about all the great stuff I'm missing out on if I don't watch them though. . . I guess I'll have to keep coming back a little each day. Thanks for the updates TM!
Actually nothing on this post is earth shattering. I catch up on TW stuff instead of reading or watching the news. So take your time. Your not missing anything fantastic. Posts you don't want to miss usually include screaming of some sort. (ie: AHHHHHHHHHHH)
A new thought:
Writing about the book on the chapter post, reminded me of a theory I have about the movie. Even though we are loving it, I think I have discovered why the changes and imperfections are so disturbing at times.
Because SM uses such profound detail, from the angle of Edward's eyelashes, to Alice's walk, I think we are more intimately familiar with details than in most books. In fact this is one of the hardest parts for my husband. All the detail. Not all books need so much detail to create a compelling story so the adaptions are easier to tolerate. Pride and Prejudice for example doesn't give you every inhale and exhale Mr. Darcy takes. Lord of the Rings is an epic tale of epic proportions. When putting the vast setting on screen it leaves plenty of room for interpretation. But take Bella's room, her bed, the window, Charlie's face, the Cullen's clothes, and well we know EXACTLY what they all look like in our head, because we have been picturing all these fine little details for 10 months.
So I think that is what makes watching the movie change everything so hard. There wasn't any room or any need to change anything in Twilight, except to make it a movie of course.
Oh WELL! I am so happy it is going to be on the big screen, even if all the details are wrong, the meaning is right!
TM, as I was reading yesterday (the car scene back from Port Angelo), I had the exact thought. I was thinking that so much is internal dialogue from Bella, her thoughts, and then there is the description of every move Edward makes, his flinches, the way he holds his hand while they are eating dinner. I really hope that Kristen and Rob are good enough that they can portray that inner turmoil. And I sure hope that scene where Rob jumps out the window is not supposed to be either of their bedrooms, because it doesn't look like either description. I have such a visual in my head of Bella's house.
But I also agree that I am just so excited to see it on the big screen, that maybe I can just overlook that stuff. Maybe it's a bad thing that we are reading it again. I think we will need to give it a break before the movie, other than BD, so that we don't have so many details fresh in our mind.
This is so pathetically trivial but who knows, y'all just might be interested. So I saw who Kristen Stewars boyfriend is today and he looks like. . . you won't believe this:
MIKE NEWTON!
Oh Becky, I guarantee you that is supposed to be Edwards bedroom. So get over that one too and then be surprised if we are wrong.
Sorry to break it to you.
Yep, I agree on that proabably being Edward's bedroom, in fact I'm counting on it. Annoying I know, but I'm getting past it, I hope...
Funny news about Kristen's boyfriend, now which Mike Newton, the actor or the one described in the book?! Hee hee
I agree with everything you said about all the descriptiveness (word?) in the book, and that being portrayed onscreen. It's just not possible. You can't really compare to LOTR, although those are all extremely descriptive books, a lot of it dealing with scenery but many other things as well. You're right, epic proportions, 3 years in New Zealand or something crazy. I haven't read Pride & Prejudice (I know, I know), so I can't relate there. But it's so true, every character in the books have a distinct look and mannerisms even, in my mind. Even down to kids at school. So it really is impossible. I'm going to try very hard to take it for what it's worth, to separate the 2 of them, and enjoy them that way. Sigh.
Ruth, I don't always read or watch everything at once. Usually just a few things at a time. Then there's always something else to come back and do!
Maybe Rob knows we have been joking about his wardrobe because he is one of our mystery voters.
Hmm, yes, that must be it...
We're just so cool & all that. Where else would you hang out on a Saturday night?
This is a week old, but did anyone watch the clip from Cam/James?
http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?vid=237781
They asked him what his weirdest fan experience or experience on set was. Guess what he mentioned - yup, the morning the actors showed up at 6AM and nobody was supposed to know where the set was or who most of the cast was. He said there were two ladies in their 30's who told him they had been there an hour waiting to get pictures.
Ha, ha, ha - that made me laugh.
Oh my goodness. That is funny!! How would you like to be an actor's weirdest fan experience? Hah! I wonder what their reaction was to that.
Coo-coo
