With only a week and a day left until the movie, can we stand the excitement? There are so many new interviews that I can't keep up anymore. Don't miss my new post about why.
Here is a gorgeous picture to get you through. Our next post will be the movie discussion!
See you at the movies.

Twilight Movie - update!!

Hi to all! Some of you know that my brother-in-law is the director of the film commission out in North Carolina. So of course, during my stay, I asked him what he knew about the film. He didn't know much, but he immediately got down to business. Between looking up the director (a good friend he found out), and reading about our Bella, he got excited to learn more. The next day when he got home from work, he announced, "Well, Portland stole Twilight!" I said, "what do you mean?" He then explained how the Oregon Film Commission offered them more to film there instead of Seattle/Forks. So, kind of sad, but it won't be as authentic as we had hoped. Anyway, I am excited that now, he is my 'in' for finding out more info on the movie. Mostly stuff about the making of it...but still fun!!
Also, I think for sure that the bathroom with two entrances doesn't exist in the Pheonix airport. I can't be sure, but on my other layover, I checked every one on the third level. I did remember though that there might be another terminal that I wasn't able to go and check...so I guess there is still a glimmer of hope!

(Mary Ann added this picture of the real Forks forest. Sorry if that adds to the dissapointment.)

That is a disappointment that it's not going to be filmed in Forks. I know that WA and OR are similar in their green forestry, both beautiful places, but still. I was so looking forward to seeing little Forks and surrounding areas on the big screen. Maybe Washington will fight back and offer more??

Oh well, still I'm really getting excited about this movie. More than I ever thought I would. We'll see how I feel once Edward is cast. Just think, probably right now they are trying to find an Edward. Erin that is so awesome that you have an "in" within your family. Did you tell him to keep you updated and that you'd probably be bugging him about info? :) Now I feel like I have in "in" with you!

That made me laugh that you checked out all the bathrooms at the Phoenix airport. I know I'd do the exact same if I were there. Hmm, I wonder if it is in the other terminal or just made up. So funny! Hope you had a nice trip.

So should we plan a field trip to Pheonix for our January meeting? It would be a great time to go.

Maybe the movie news is for the best. I am also dissapointed, but this way, we won't get our hopes up so much that we want to actually LIVE Twilight through the movie. We can remember that it is just what it is, a Hollywood representation.

Erin I am thrilled to have you as our informant. Information event the Lexicon doesn't have. This is big, and cool! Yeah!

My brother lives in Phoenix and travels a lot. I will ask him if he has checked the bathrooms. Do you think it will matter that he is a guy checking out girls bathrooms? By the way, when he was here for Thanksgiving he was near finishing Eclipse.

Erin, Rachael just told me about this site. How funny that you looked for that bathroom. I guess I'm not as addicted as the rest of you are. It took me almost 30 seconds before I remembered which part of the story that bathroom is in. I left my Twilight copy in Utah so I only have New Moon & Eclipse here in England. Maybe I'll have to buy another copy so I can re-read this fabulous series!

Glad you saw Renae too. I didn't even think about Aaron having an "in." I bet you had fun!

That IS way cool! Thanks for the inside info! Portland is very lush and beautiful. I bet it will still be great. Keep us updated!

You're so positive Jill, I love your comments. I'm really excited to get the occasional inside scoop that isn't even on the Lexicon!

The following was just posted on the Lexicon today:

"The Peninsula Daily News, the newspaper of the Forks area, has an article on how Forks High School and other town locales are exited to be in the Twilight movie."

Too bad for them, I guess they don't know the news yet. Or perhaps they'll still use the High School to film? Not likely though would you think? Funny we know before them, suckers. (I'm totally kidding of course, I feel sorry for them actually, I'm on a high from the Edward casting still!)
