Video Fest and #1 Cafeteria scene
Oh my goodness, oh my goodness. This is the first of I think, 6, TV advertisement that are ridiculously good. Really I had my first movie stomach flips watching some of the last ones tonight (#5 and 6, hold on to your tummies).
Sigh . . . I think the next poll should be predicting how many times we see the movie in a 2 week period.
I am going to try and not watch to many more because really there is basically a shot of everything. So that is your warning if you don't want to be "spoiled".
Be good girls and leave a little comment after you watch.

Unpardonable Sins
So Edward takes Bella up in a tree. It is actually kind of visually stunning. So he rescues an apple in the lunch room. He looks gorgeous in that scene. But in all my fishing through trivia of late, none worth sharing by the way, I have discovered several UNPARDONABLE SINS in the movie. I thought it my duty to warn you all.

Oh YEAH! New movie trailer
Is anybody out there? Just checking in. My plan is to post weekly but this has been QUITE a week. I miss you all when you don't stop by, or say you've stopped by. Here is a bit of big and little news: (and sorry the picture is so big. Sometimes I am a dunce at these things.)
We have pages and pages of readers’ comments urging Stephenie Meyer to please complete Midnight Sun.
A spokeswoman for her publisher, Little, Brown, said she has read our story about the leak (we’re honored!). Meyer’s agent has it, too, she said, and will forward it to her “if she feels it would be appropriate” (cross your fingers).
Officially, the publisher won’t really comment on Midnight Sun except to say:
“While no decisions have been made at this time regarding the publication of Midnight Sun, Stephenie Meyer is currently at work on other writing projects. Little, Brown looks forward to our continued publishing relationship with Stephenie Meyer and, like her many fans, we are eager to experience her next literary creation.”
In the meantime, keep those comments coming!"

Not much new . . .
So much of the updates on other websites are not worth any one's time.
Here 's a few items that are.
Didn't want anyone to miss these Forks articles (thanks others for posting them in the comments.) The CNN article is here. MSNBC article is here. And a Yahoo news article is here.
Kind of a cute article about the popularity of Twilight with older than teeny-boppers, is here.
For actors - I thought these quotes were fairly quotable.
From Peter Facinelli:Your next movie "Twilight" has a lot of devout fans - did that make you nervous?Peter: When we first started filming, absolutely. But I think they'll all be really happy with the finished result. I saw some of it the other day and it's so beautiful. I love the look of the film and Catherine [Hardwicke, the director] has the most amazing vision. She's made a very artistic film and combined it with a very commercial piece.
From the eloquent Rob on the occasion of Harry Potter 10th anniversary: Robert Pattinson (Cedric in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," Edward in "Twilight"): "Does it make me a traitor? 'Harry Potter' was what made me become an actor. I credit 'Harry Potter' with everything else that's come since for me. I didn't know what I was doing before that. I hadn't read the books before doing the movie, so at first I read it just as an acting exercise. But I really enjoyed it! But I think Edward would kick Cedric's ass, to be honest."
And if you are really, really desperate, there is a quirky, trendy article about Robert here, with an unusual picture that fan girls are drooling over. And all things considered, he looks better here than in most places. Which reminds me, I can't find the source now, but Entertainment Weekly is supposed to give Robert another cover, since the original was so bizarre looking.Posted by lioness at 2:16 AM 4 comments

SM on Ellen! and other Updates for the Week
Just a reminder for anyone who is interested, that Stephenie Meyer will be on the Ellen Show on Wednesday (Sept. 17th) at 4:00 on channel 4. Will we finally, after 2 1/2 weeks of nothing, hear something about Midnight Sun? I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I will put some things that Ellen said about the interview in the comments of this post. 9/16 - MTV Tuesday has Robert explaining why his lullaby wont be used in the movie. Here. Robert has really grown on me. Not that I think he is anything like Edward, for Heaven's Sake! But I like him. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. Too bad about his song.
Rosenberg: Well, I can tell you this: "Spider monkey," I believe, comes from Rob Pattinson. I didn't actually write "spider monkey."
MTV: Really? Because the fans already love that line in the clips we've seen when Edward tells Bella, "You better hold on tight, spider monkey!"
Rosenberg: That was an improv.
MTV: So is that one of the things where a screenwriter sees the movie and says, "Sweet improv!" Or do you go, "He ruined my script! 'Spider monkey' is not accurate!"
Rosenberg: [Laughs.] Well, what I should say is, "I came up with spider monkey on my own. I wrote that."
MTV: Someday that could be the new "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" — or something like that.
Rosenberg: Exactly.

Twilight Moments
Midnight Sun has given me back a little bit of the old "Twilight Obsession" where thoughts and moments throughout my day center around a universe that includes vampires. Ahhh it feels good to be back to my best self. Ha ha. So here are a few of my best recent TW moment.

the tiniest bit of Therapy
Still no encouraging word from our dear author. But I remembered a fan-fiction that actually gets fairly close to the mark. No its not SM. No its not as good, but it is good and it at least gives us a good description of the meadow. Of course that is where is ends so be prepared for that as well.

Will Begging Help? SM updates
First SM has some VERY insightful info on her page. Her BD FAQ's (I will be saying "I told you so" in detail very soon.) Anyway these are a must read. Go here.
Next you can send a nice email to this group collecting letters by email to send to SM in one big batch. You send an email to: savemidnightsun@yahoo.com
Then you can go to this blog and add your name to a list of SM supporters.
http://www.supportstepheniemeyer.blogspot.com/
The Lexicon has bigger plans. They have combined with 4 other big fan groups. Go here for details. But they don't involve any begging, which I see as a must here. No respose yet from Ms. Meyer on any of this stuff.

Tragedy - is there a silver lining?
If you haven't already heard, Stephenie is going to stop working on Midnight Sun. Someone leaked her first 12 chapters on-line and so she put them up on her sight. She says it is on hold "indefinitely" whatever that really means.

Breaking Dawn Mosaic and Discussion
I would like to use Amy's first, and most impressive post, to start an in depth discussion on the book. Many have had closure and gone on with their lives, leaving Twilight as a memory. But if its still near enough in your thoughts to add to our discussion, please, please do. We will start with the 2nd "favorite" on the list. The wedding. Add your thoughts, both positive and negative about the long awaited event.

Time to Catch Up
Update: 8-27 - really some good articles here on the movie, if your a movie news junkie.
8/25 - Well school is back in. To celebrate I am here on my blog, a very much missed place during the busy weeks of summer. Here is the best of the news that is out there from the past few weeks.
Since it is so dear to my heart now, I thought you might enjoy this article about the Forks travel phenomenon here.
Time magazines 10 questions for Stephenie. A few more insightful than most interviews.
MTV has almost every question from the SM Breaking Dawn signings, and maybe more. Read them here.
The movie - well I am just waiting, pin and needles for a new trailer. Don't you think there will be another, longer one? I hope so. In the mean time:
Borders has compiled several interviews and the trailers here.
The Kristin and Rob interview is worth watching. And the "Penelope" clip, on the same Borders sight, has the entire Twilight movie clips and behind the scenes footage. The original link I found and published a few weeks ago was missing some of the behind the scenes stuff. It is DEFINITELY worth watching over and over again.

Happy Birthday Twilight Mom!
Well, this is a very late and sad attempt to wish our beloved Twilight Mom a very Happy Birthday - please forgive us. She did get a wonderful TWILIGHTY birthday (what could be better than spending your birthday week in Forks???), but we wanted to celebrate a little extra. She isn't a big fan of 'talking nice about the birthday girl', but since I'm sort of related - hopefully she'll forgive me... and MA, you'll probably have to choose your own favorite picture to post - sorry!

HUGE NEWS - THE MOVIE DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED
So I have heard that some of you have let Twilight run its course in your lives. So sad. I'll tell you if you are still having Breaking Dawn blues, a trip to Forks will cure you in a heart beat! So for me, the mist of Washington is running through my veins. I am thoroughly prepared for another emotional upset, but rather than waiting until Dec. 12th we only have to wait until . . .
NOVEMBER 21st!!!!!!!!!
Really if you love it like you all have said you do, you need to keep checking in for little thrills like this.
Here is the link again to the calendar pictures, the wallpaper images are pretty cool too. Go to "extras" on twilightthemovie.com.

Stephenie's Q & A's about BD plus other articles...
Here is an article about her reaction to negative fan reaction
and here is a very indepth interview with CBS (pictures of her in college!)
The following is a link to the first half of the
Here is the Q & A session from Stephenie's signing in Chicago, hopefully the rest will be released shortly. I found them very interesting to read, I always like to know what she's thinking. I'll add future links from other signings as they become available!
This next link is from the LA signing. These Q & A's are a little longer, and there weren't very many repeats, I liked reading these.
Here's a link to a Rolling Stone article, it's an interview with SM about her writing experience in general and how she involves music so much with her writing. The playlists seem to interest people on the outside.

Now that my post-traumatic stress syndrome has settle into something manageable, I have realized how shamefully I neglected the best part of Breaking Dawn, the party to celebrate it.

The Best of Breaking Dawn

BD - where did it Break Down for you?
We love SM too much to bash the book. Most of you probably have to come to terms with the tricky parts. In general this is a forum to post your minor or major complaints, with love behind them of course.
As for me, I feel very alone and disappointed to be so. Is there no one else who loved Twilight so much that they aren't broken hearted by Breaking Dawn like me?
Don't get me wrong, I loved the lovable parts. I am coming to terms with the weird stuff, but the overall feeling for me was such a let down. I don't want to rip it apart I just need someone to "mourn with those that mourn."
And I have been accused of liking my own theories better than the authors, but I never really expected any of my guesses to come true. What I did anticipate was to have my expectations exceeded. To be taken by surprise in ways that would be difficult and wonderful. And without question I expected a continuation of the world that took me by complete surprise and swept me away.
I was certainly taken by surprise, that element was strongly evident. But I feel more like I have been dumped off a cliff. Yes I like the final page, Bella's change, and the sweet moments, but it felt more to me like a fanfiction than the surreal magic that was created in Twilight and then sustained through New Moon and Eclipse.
I know most of you can put BD behind you and go on your merry way. Or even more amazingly, re-read it. I definitely feel better now that I have caught up on all my sleep. But let me know if anyone had a heart like mine and cried a little. I did, literally.

Breaking Dawn Blues and Predictions
Many of us have pre-BD anxiety, but even worse, will we have post BD - blues. This is worse than day after Christmas. But we will have the book to savor again and again.
I have my own fears of what I will do without my friends, both fictional and my Internet blogging buddies, all of you. We wont have as much to talk about and I don't know what I will do without it. This year has been surreal in some ways. Nothing I could have ever predicted. So when the Breaking Dawn buzz dies down, and the post-blues fade, don't forget TA, okay? Stop by now and then to check in. Let's plan the Midnight Sun reunion right now!

MOVIE, MOMENTS, AND MORE!
Update: July 19 - I just had the most delightful Twilight Moment, so I thought I would share it with all of you. I opened my mailbox, very uncommon, nothing every worth looking at in there, ruffled through the growing stack (really I bring it in like, once a week), when my eye caught a bulging letter. Insurance bills I figured. Then I glanced at the return address. In big, script, lovely letters it read: OLYMPIC PENNISULA - gasp, flutter, its my travel brochures from Forks. I clasped it to my chest and came to write this before I have even opened it.
HERE IT IS:
For the newest Twilight trailer click here. And if our luck keeps up, anyone who sees Batman this weekend will get this as an added bonus. But this is so you can watch it over and over and over!
Okay the Penelope Video: RENT IT!!!! Or borrow from me until Wed. Here is a link to some of the behind the scenes stuff they show on the DVD, but the actually scene can only be watched on the DVD is . . . WOW!! (its a few pieces of Bella coming to the Cullen residence. It's all wrong, but WOW anyway!)
And if you would like to see some more beautiful photos from the scene in the trees click here. Picture 16 and 17 are GREAT. I couldn't copy a picture, they are blocked. Very pretty.

Stephenie Meyer is coming to SL on 101.9 The End!!!!
Okay, a couple of thing. First, this is my first post, and since I am not nearly as spectacular as MaryAnn, I am not going to try to fancy this up. But I just heard on the radio that SM is coming to SL and will be interviewed on the Parker show on 101.9 the end!!!!! It will be on July 29th, and he wants to bring 3 ladies on the show to do the interview. Mostly, it is because he doesn't know anything about the book. So.....I think that we should all apply to be on the show. You have to send an email to Parker@1019theend.com and put Stephenie Meyer in the subject line, then tell him why you are a fanatic! I think if there is a crazier group in Salt Lake, it has to be only the Twilight Mom's. But we have to be second. I don't know anyone who knows this book inside and out like us. So if we all apply/send emails, then hopefully one of us will get on!!! How cool would that be?!!!?

Breaking Dawn Teaser Quotes of the Day!
So as you know (or maybe you don't), Stephenie Meyer has started sharing one quote a day from Breaking Dawn, up until the release day of the book! Now I won't spoil it for anyone by listing them on the front page daily, if you want to check them out you'll have to click on the comments. I'll add the new ones as they're posted each day, and I'm more than happy to discuss or not discuss them with anyone (unless they start to keep me up at night, then I'll have to stop this altogether). I am going to share the one for Wednesday with you though, because it's not tortorous in any way (at least I don't think so), it's quite light-hearted I think.
Bella: "Jasper? What do vampires do for bachelor parties? You're not taking him to a strip club are you?"
What in the world do vampires do for bachelor parties, really?

A News Brief:
July 14 - update
Here is the link to the EW articles. First click here for the interview with SM.
Click here for the TW movie article. Enjoy.
So I decided to jump the run-away busy train for an hour this afternoon. I enjoyed so much catching up on the blog last night, despite the hour, that I decided I needed this happy time during the day. A rest. Ahhh.
- SM is taking BD spoilers very seriously. She has asked all fan web-sites to halt all message boards starting July 14th. Of course the Lex will comply. I'm glad we don't have to worry about any spoilers here. Can you imagine how badly that would ruin things?
- Along those same lines, she is going to post a BD quote per day for something like 21 days. I really don't know if I can handle reading the quotes. I need your input here. I mean did you see how worked up we got over the preface. Truly I don't think I can handle reading them. What do you all think?
- Taylor Lautner video interview from the Lex. Click here to watch it.
- Kristen is featured with 4 other up and coming actresses on the cover of Vanity Fair.
- Lexicon video interview with the Wolf Pack.
- Entertainment Weekly features Twilight in its next issue. The cover is the picture below.
