With only a week and a day left until the movie, can we stand the excitement? There are so many new interviews that I can't keep up anymore. Don't miss my new post about why.
Here is a gorgeous picture to get you through. Our next post will be the movie discussion!
See you at the movies.

5/3 - Latest News

This is a new promo picture. Click on picture to enlarge. Cool and funky eh?
So I finally figured out how to add a link without having to add the entire address. So each highlighted word in this post is a link to the site with the information. It was very exciting to discover this new power. Yes!

Stephenie didn't win #1 but it is still an honor to be in the Time 100 (so click on "Time 100" and it will take you too the site. So awesome!)
Here is the write up about her.
The Host continues to get good reviews and interviews galore. You'll have to research that stuff yourself. I recommend the Lexicon.
The rest is movie news:
1. MTV Canada has some new footage.
2. This Blogger (not one of ours) has had some interesting visits on the set with pictures.
3. A new interview with Rob from G4. (I liked this one).
4. The official Twilight site has been updated with another message from Catherine.
5. Lexicon on the set with Taylor/Jacob.
6. Pictures from the Twightmoms: Renee and Phil , Arizona house (filmed in L.A.)
Also the Speed Racer/Twilight trailer is not a certainty, hope you didn't already buy your tickets.

Just a reminder. There is tons more trivia on the Lexicon, Hisgoldeneyes, etc. I select the best/most interesting info in my opinion. But here are always more little things from the Mike guy, other characters, other insignificant articles, etc.
Enjoy whatever you can.

Have a good rest of the weekend.

Oh my goodness! That picture is so awesome!! Very cool and funky. I know I use the words cool and awesome in my descriptions of anything Twilight, especially movie related, but who can blame me? I love it, so amazing!
It's like one of those pictures with the color sketching added, or something, you guys know what I mean? Thanks for posting. Can't wait to catch up on the fun updates!

I liked that interview with Rob as well. Funny though, can anyone guess what he's wearing in it? :D
So I think it's cool (and I'm jealous) that he got the manuscript of Midnight Sun from Stephenie before the shooting of the movie started, and very interesting to hear his descriptions of how Edward feels about himself. I already had a good idea of it, but to hear it from someone else's perspective who has read it is cool. Poor Edward, really has a low self image. It's pretty sad really.
Very neat about Stephenie making the top 50 most influential people! The write up has a cute picture of her, and cool that the write up was written by Orson Scott Card. I bet she especially thought that was cool.

I liked the pictures with Renee and Phil, they look perfect I think! Fun to see the things I've tried to visualize. Little things like that are even fun.
I checked out a few shots from that "other blogger" and skimmed a few things. Cool what she said about being able to listen to some of the dialogue between Bella & Edward at their dinner in Port Angeles I believe. Rob was naturally emotional during that part, it sounds like. Also, I like the pictures for the shots on their first trip to La Push. I could only see one good one of the group of teens including 3 or 4 Native American boys with them, I loved seeing that. I really do like that group of boys. Like I said, things I've tried to visualize so many times, are so amazing brought to life in real pictures. The little Lexicon video with Taylor/Jacob was fun, he really is a cute guy, it's going to be very interesting.
Kind of weird that they're done filming! I guess good though, now it's time to edit and start doing some serious promoting!

So far, I just have listened to the interview with Rob - I really, really liked it. It is really cool how he is identifying with Edward's character so well. Is anyone still freaking out over his accent? It just seems impossible that they can get rid of it so quickly and easily on demand - I guess that's why I'm not in show business!

lioness said...

No worries about the accent here.

So RWV you little ITBS, its so nice not to have to say everything on my portion of our mind. You always fill in the rest. It's such a relief.

To recap our thoughts.
Renee and Phil - perfect
Love the Arizona house, though different.
Poor, poor, Edward.
Orson Scott Card - SM's dream come true.
And love that description of the Port Angeles scene being acted by Robert. So amazing.
Ahhh!

Do you all realize there is a difference between my Ahhhh. . . (that is a sigh and the sound like at the doctors office, Awww. .. and
Ahhh! is the short sound of the letter A. Just to be sure. When it is Ahhh! I am screaming, not sighing (which is different then a sigh with just breath. That is a plain "sigh")

Okay, carry on.

Trish said...

I do think I get the difference between your "Ahhhs" - thanks for the clarity though... :)

Long live the plaid jacket...apparently...

I do think Rob gets Edward's character pretty well. I liked Renne, Phil & house (even though it is different, you can see Renee in that environment, can't you?)

Jacob - I am registering my first complaint with the movie. Taylor's talking in his interviews irritates me to no end. I can accept his looks as Jacob, but when he opens his mouth, he sounds like some California preppy surfer kid, not an easy-going kid from the rez. I want to tell the kid, "Just don't talk & we'll all be okay. Just. Don't. Talk." (I don't think that's really possible for his character though.) If they do make a NM movie, I couldn't watch it if he sounds like he does in the interviews. I need some soothing here, people. I just can't seem to go over this.

lioness said...

Sorry can't soothe that one. I um have come to accept him and even think, okay, maybe. But well, I'm with you on that one. Luckily as much as I love Jacob, he helped massacre Edwards heart and manipulate Bella, although to some good in the end. So I am less sypathetic about mis-casting of a character who I love on the one hand and despise on the other.
(and no I don't think he manipulated her into loving him, just into admiting it. Did she really need to do that? Rhetorical question there.)

I guess some people hated Edward for leaving, but he and I are so similarly minded. I never thought for one MOMENT that he didn't love Bella. Never. Woops I have digressed into my emotional instable rant again. How did that happen?

We need Jillybean to come on and help you. She thinks Taylor is super cute, I think.

Okay I thought of something to help. Catherine is an amazing director. Did you read the #2 detail on this post? About Catherine directing the Port Angeles restaraunt scene? She seems genius to me, so I'll bet she can get the most out of Taylor and turn him into Jacob somewhat.

Trish said...

Well he's just so young an immature I think too. I've just been thinking that he's annoying in real life like a lot of the other actors seem to be at times, whether they're nervous or whatever. The others have bugged me more than once, but then when I see them in their role it seems to turn all that around. Hopefully the same will go for him. I think they probably found someone who could act and not just be smily and cute.
Although, I always have the same thought come back into my head, sharkboy.

lioness said...

Glad I haven't seen the shark boy movie. It would ruin it for me I am sure.

betchafeelbetter said...

Does he act that way in Shark boy? I really don't have a problem with his looks. Just the way he talks. (slight thing)

I tried to get the Catherine link to come up and it wasn't working for me the other day, so I will check again.
