Midnight Sun chapter one - is an amazing experience. Try it side by side with Twilight chapter one. Read Edwards thoughts and reactions along with Bella's. You will be blown away!

Then tell us all about your experience here.

Uuh, do you realize that I almost gasped when I refreshed my page and the first thing that came up was that picture of Henry?! Whew! Is it hot in here? Maybe I'll sleep in my special shirt tonight.
Ok then, I just had to comment on that. I'll come back after I have my experience reading them side by side!

RWV, can I just say I keep reading your comments here whenever I need a good chuckle!

Didn't we have a triplet sister once. Maybe she got her ITBS cured. How sad. Maybe she is mad that she doesn't have a "special-shirt". But they didn't make I love Edward shirts in plaid flannel. Those are I love Rob shirts, and we don't love him. I mean we love him, but not LOOOOOVE him, you know what I mean sista?

Oh yeah, I'm down, I know what you mean. We can iron a picture of Henry on a flannel shirt, maybe a lighter plaid so it will show up. Will that bring you back to our blog triplet sista?

So I read Midnight Sun and Twilight side by side. It was very, very cool! I love the conversations the Cullens have at the lunch table, and also the things Edward says about his siblings. Fun little things like Emmett fuming over his wrestling match loss, and the things Edward says about his and Alice's relationship, and Edward kicking Jasper's chair under the table when he's thinking bad thoughts about the helpless girl. I LOVE reading and getting to know Edward's personality. His descriptions of Bella the first time he sees her, especially the things he says about her eyes and the depth of them. The back and forth of the split second stares in the cafeteria was fun to read. I especially love when he says how he wants to shield Bella from this Jessica girl's mean internal thoughts, and he just doesn't understand why he would feel that way. He is such a strong guy, to be able to withstand his first encounter with her in class, and to put Carlisle's face in his mind to help with that. So cool to read, I haven't read it forever, so I loved the refresher! But it sure made me long for more Midnight Sun!!!

I think this is the first time in my life that I am glad that it was such rainy weather over a Holiday. It just made me more in the mood to read the books- to took me right to Forks and the setting (along with Joys pictures)Paul and I am reading them again together- which is so fun and makes you read slow- trying to find time together- so I am glad that it rained because we couldn't do yard work. We loved reading midnight Sun- Edward seems so bored with existence- can you imagine how boring life was for him? It jsut made us want to have midnight sun to read with every chapter that we read. I asked Paul if Boys plan out or hope about things as much as girls do- he thinks they do in some cases but not to the same intensity. He again stopped at Bella's problem with blood- and thinks it is a very key factor- even wondering if she has some vampire in her somewhere. And most of all, I was worried that I would see Rob and Kristen- but I saw my Edward and my Bella as I read- it is so fun to be visiting my fictional friends again- it brings a sweet happiness back.

I agree about seeing MY Edward and Bella instead of Rob and Kristen. Even though I can see them playing the part, as I read though, I picture them as I saw them. Although Henry's face has sort of morphed into my Edward, simply because he fits so perfectly. And I have had the same pondering about the blood. I know we have discussed it, or maybe you guys have and I have read it somewhere. I know that Bella's aversion to blood is going to come into play. I think RWV threw out the suggestion that maybe she won't suffer as much during the first few months since she doesn't like blood. Maybe she won't crave it like newborns do. That is what I am hoping.

So, I have to say that this crash is so much bigger to me this time, I'm putting a lot of thought into it and can see more. I think they really get pretty comfortable with each other quite quickly. I really noticed even more the descriptions of Carlisle in the hospital and also his avoiding anything that would give "them" away. And how Bella totally catches onto to that, she's very in tune with things and so quick witted. Have I said how much I love Bella? Reading Twilight again reminds me of why I think she is so great.
I'll be back...

I've really cheated and am towards the end of Eclipse - just couldn't stop myself. Anyway, it has been SO MUCH FUN re-reading all the books again!! They make me feel very happy! MY EDWARD doesn't really resemble Rob either. Definitely closer to Henry. But I do find myself picturing Bella similar to Kristen, only softer somehow.

Well, I finally found the post where you were making fun of me! No, I really don't need a flannel shirt with Henry on it. That would just be wrong. We cannot mix Robward and Henward.

I haven't started reading yet, just knowing that I will not pace myself very well, so waiting until it is a little closer. That's why I hadn't read the post comments here yet. But the midnight sun picture sucked me in. Where did you find that? Is that the UK thing they were talking about?

What UK thing is this?
Actually where did you find this one of Henry MA? This is the one we have on our shirts right?

Yes the midnight sun with an actual sun is the pamphlet form of Midnight Sun chapter 1 being sold in Europe.
The Henry picture is from our shirts.

BFB it would really add to have you in on our chapter discussions. If I can pace, you can pace. Besides, its fun to do a lot of back tracking. You know read and then retrace and comment. Try it, you'll like it. Although we are all behind because of the end of school and all that. I can't wait to just spend a few minutes a day posting about the chapters. Maybe I need to stop marking about 20 stickies per chapter?
