Has nobody else seen the movie poster? And if you have, why haven't you mentioned it? I was so excited to see it yesterday at Jordan Commons! Maybe I'm over-reacting because we have seen the preview and all that but come on! For some reason seeing the movie poster makes it seem so real. Like it's really happening. And we are going to be able to sit in those theater seats and eat popcorn and see our favorite story brought to life. It is way too exciting!

So I alredy left my disappointing Jordan Commons, missing the TW trailer experience on the TW moments post from SB, but now I am sadder than ever. No I DID NOT! see it. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah? What hall were you in Jill? I am going back. I have to now.
So happy for you though. What movie did you see that didn't have the trailer?
I saw Indiana Jones and Adam was late so I missed a bit of the previews. I hope there wasn't a Twilight one and I missed it! But the poster is down by the theaters in the North West of the building. It's nothing huge, just Edward and Bella. In fact the same picture may already by somewhere on the blog. I guess what makes it special is that it is in an actual theater and the words "Coming Soon" are beneath it. It's really coming!
Oh man! I can't believe I was there at that theater and missed the poster! Seriously, how long have I been talking about seeing that poster hanging in the walls of Jordan Commons! There definitely is a Twilight preview before Indiana Jones, I missed all the previews, I bet it was one of the first ones. My brother and his wife went to it last night, and said they saw the Twilight trailer, at a different theater though. Dang! I'll have to go back with Justin to see it again, and then find that poster too. Although I might embarrass him.
Cool Jill, thanks for sharing that!
I saw Indiana Jones with all the previews just yesterday, and there was definitely not a preview for Twilight - bummer! Now I need to go back to Jordan Comons too to see the poster - eeeeekkkk!
Dang, so some of the showings have a Twilight trailer and some do not? I guess? Do we know which theater the Walls saw Indiana Jones with their Twilight preview? I was totally planning on going back to see it again with Justin, mainly for the previews though. Hmm, maybe we'll try a different theater, although then there's the poster in the hall that I need to see too. My brother went to The District in South Jordan, out on Bangerter & 11400 S.
Maybe Jordan Commons can tell us which showings have which previews?? I know, I'm starting to sound desperate now.
That is not desperate. You should hear some of my ideas for trying to go and see the trailer. I definitely think we need to ask. C'mon RWV, you asked a Gap employee if we could have a 20 foot poster of Edwards chest and arms. Which is more desperate really?
Oh yeah that's right, and you are right, hee hee.
I think I'll call before I go again just to see what they can tell me. I'm sure I'm not the first on something like this.
You would not be the first and it will be a good reminder to them that they had better be ready for the Twilight frenzy. Do you know I actually considered, thinking stage only, about calling and asking if I could just come and watch the previews since I missed them with my paying ticket.
If you have the guts, ask them about that too. Ha, ha.
Even a dear friend shouldn't have to stoop to that. But it would sure be funny.
I may just ask them, we'll see if I have the guts and the type of person I'm talking to. I could also say, "So, can I just pay like $1.00 and only watch the previews?"
I'll let you know when I get around to calling them, maybe by this weekend.
And that's right! It will be a good reminder for the Twilight frenzy coming soon!
ps. Jillybean have you heard anything more from Lisa Opfar about the movie? I keep forgetting to ask her again.
Yes, I talked to Lisa and it is not the midnight showing. It is the next morning I believe. As excited as I am, I am truly tempted to go the next day with a group of moms. I think I will be so annoyed to have a theater-full of teenage girls watching the movie with me if I go to a midnight showing. I just don't want it to be ruined. We've waited so long. I'd rather wait a few more hours and truly enjoy it. But I do want to see it with our TwilightersAnonymous group also. What to do, what to do...Are you all going to a midnight showing for sure?
And, if any of you do get the nerve to ask if you can just watch the previews, let me know! I may just have to break down and pay the $8, but only if it's the sure thing! But is it the same preview we've already seen online? Or is it a longer one? And if it's a longer one, why hasn't that been posted on the lex or youtube or something like that?
Per the guest service specialist at Jordan Commons, the Twilight trailer is NOT currently playing before any of the Indiana Jones showings. Right now, it is playing before Speed Racer and What Happens in Vegas.
(It was previously on Iron Man and Narnia, why didn't I go to those sooner so I could see a trailer I liked with a movie I liked).
Called Carmike 12 on Redwood road. They are showing the Twilight trailer, but (after hearing the guys in the background say they don't know which shows it is on) they told me that "they cannot disclose that information."
Ha ha ha. Whatever.
Are we going to see it in December as a goup? Because I already know I am going to see it multiple times, but I would really like my first time to be with you guys so that we can discuss it. I want to see everyone's face as the whole thing progresses. I will take Friday off work if we go to the midnight showing on Thursday.
I don't have a preference for going to the movie at midnight or the next morning. But I definitely want to go with y'all!
Now ladies why not just give in to the madness. Really why wouldn't you want to see the very first showing? Perhaps its my tri-life crisis, but I love festivities. I'm not so big on crowds, but I like the little thrill that comes with maneuvering for exciting cirmcumstances. But don't worry. For our seniors/conservative crowd, I will go both times.
Hello people!?! We are VAMPIRE fans here - is there any choice but the midnight showing?
JK - if the morning people outnumber the night people, I will go then too. Love y'all!
Well I'm up for seeing it both times. Midnight showings really are fun. I've been to 3 LOTR ones, and we were surrounded by a lot of nerds, but it didn't ruin it for me at all. At my age, things like that are crazy to do, thus fun!
The midnight showing sounds like a lot of fun to me too. It would probably bother me all night if I thought about what I was missing. I've never been to a midnight new release, so count me in.
Well of course, vampire movie, vampire hours. That really does settle it RWV. And "at your age" is that some kind of joke?
BFB what are the details on the twilightmoms showing. Are they going to be worse than giddy teenagers?
I haven't checked on the twilightmoms showing yet. I still have the paper, so I will. Maybe give me a few days though.
Thinking of the book signing, I don't know that there will be much difference no matter what the ages of the giddy fans - perhaps there were fewer out of control grown women, but they made up for it by being even crazier.
To be totally honest.... I had a lot of fun "hangin" with all the younger crowd at the signing - they were more interesting than the motherly crowd - ha! (Hmmmm - maybe that's why I keep getting put in YW rather than RS in my ward - I just don't relate to the RS gals as well). No one's ever accused me of being an "old soul", that's for sure.
Hey, once those kids start showing up, and you get past those early twenties, there's not a whole lot to get a big thrill over. Too preoccupied and tired. So stuff like this is great!
So BFB, have you found out about the twilighmom's showing yet? Huh?
(kidding, you can have a few days).
I did like the group next to us in line at the signing as well - they were college aged, though, so not really that young. Truly, I don't think I will care what the crazy people are doing that night or morning. I figure that they are just the pre-entertainment entertainment.
When I say the little giggling girls would bother me, I am thinking of the 12 year olds reading it in my ward - and I do hope that they will be home asleep during the midnight showing. Th
Actually, there are some young women in my ward who I enjoy talking with about the books. On the other hand, there were some snooty grown women at the signing who I would not enjoy watching the movie with. So I suppose I am more bothered by attitude than age. I don't suppose there will be a movie showing for people who pass minimum standards of coolness and non-snootiness though!
