With only a week and a day left until the movie, can we stand the excitement? There are so many new interviews that I can't keep up anymore. Don't miss my new post about why.
Here is a gorgeous picture to get you through. Our next post will be the movie discussion!
See you at the movies.

This is a test . . . Breaking Dawn chapter 1

Whenever there are long periods of blog inactivity (which was more last week than this week) I start to wonder if I need to keep adding info on the blog for others. I keep myself happily up to date daily (which sometimes takes minutes and other times hours, but its my hobby, so I relish the time), but of course keeping everyone else up to date is my pleasure, if needed.

When RWV and I first started TwilightersAnonymous we joked about how different people react to Twilight as a fan. Everyone has different levels of addiction need. The two of us are on the highest level, needed almost daily fixes. Others can enjoy Twilight with weekly doses, still others even less. So this post is for those fanatical enough to be counting down the days, hours, minutes until Breaking Dawn chapter one is in our hands. The test: are you fan enough to need it?

Saturday, May 31st, 9:00 am. - RWV and I will pick up my Special Edition Eclipse with the first chapter of Breaking Dawn. We expect to be at the Village Inn at Southtowne Mall by 9:20.

Anyone who would like to read the chapter along with us, meet us there. An RSVP in these comments would let us know how big of a table we need.

Obviously if you respond to this post, you are fan enough. For fun, read my first comment. These were the levels of fan commitment I used to send my friends when they asked us about our Twilight fan club. And as always, don't take me too seriously.

So I wrote this a while ago, so some of the requirement may have lessened a little with the passage of time. We sure had fun giggling about these. Enjoy:

Twilight Fan Club: What level are you?

lowest level : tolerable member -read Twilight, liked it. Even read the other books. Can now turn their back on it and return unphased to real life. Or people that love it more than they will admit but are too stubborn to join.

2nd level: honorary member -
read it, really liked it, likes to talk to us about it, thinks about the book once in a while.

3rd level: full member -
read it, loves it, loves to talk to us about it. Thinks about Twilight often. The characters feel real to them. Enjoys occasional blogging and discussion. Respond to e-mails from other members. Has had a passing dream about anything Twilight. Realizes it will be along time until Breaking Dawn.

4th level: extraordinary member - admits to being slightly addicted, could talk about it anytime, anywhere. Craves e-mails and phone call opportunities to talk. Has started looking for their own Twilight bits on-line. Always responds and even starts blog posts. Thinks about Twilight several times daily. Has had more than one subconscious twilight moment, in dreams or otherwise (i.e.: forgets where they are going, wonders what happened during a period of time when their mind had wondered to Twilight). Loves Twilight characters like friends. Wonders how to get through until Breaking Dawn.

5th level - ridiculously fanatic devoted member -
admits to being completely addicted to a work of fiction (book or movie) greater than every before. Spends time daily (or close) reading on-line or in books about anything Twilight, even if it is just comments from other fan club members. Respond thoroughly whenever they can to any post or comment. Thinks about Twilight too many times in a day to count (will this lessen over time? we don't know because it hasn't happened yet). Still dreams about or wakes up thinking about Twilight, often. Loves the Cullens, Charlie, Bella and Edward like family, best friends, adores them thoroughly. At times, is in physical, mental, and emotional pain thinking about how long it is until August 2008. Has shed tears, screamed with delight, gasped, practically fainted, felt the real pain, attraction, and absolute magic that this world of Twilight has created!

*Additional Rule - it goes without saying that members of our fan-club are 100% in love with, or at least admiration of, EDWARD! (5th level members experience continual flutters when they think about and talk about Edward, and we are glad he is too good to be true [not all of us are glad he is to good to be true]) We do not tolerate those who want Jacob to be with Bella. We can respectfully understand those who like Jacob, feel for him, and want him to have his own happy ending. But we do not give this much attention. This is the world of Bella and Edward.

Even though I don't dream about them any more, I think it is safe to say I still think about a Twilighty though every day. How about you RWV? Are still a 5 (or in other words, an honorary Cullen?)

I know the answer, but just post it for the record.

For the record, yes I would still consider myself a 5. Still think about it every day, and even more so now that I'm reading them again! (Darn, Edward too good to be true!? - I still love just typing his name)
Okay then, see you Saturday.
Be there or be square.

And even if you don't RSVP to this, and you decide last minute you can or want to come, of course still show up!
We'll be so happy to see you and easily find room.

Plan on me being there. I just can't stay very long -unfortunately. But I really need to find out what happens in chapter 1, of course!!

I will totally be there on Saturday. If you want, I could go eary to Village Inn and grab a table so we can start reading immediately when you get there with the book. Let me know.

And for the record...all things Twilight are still my favorite. My sweet mom gave me these 5 books to read and I thought I'd give them a shot, for her sake. And, yea. You guessed it, they totally suck. The first is only like 250 pages and it's taken me forever to get through it. It's just not interesting. I can easily put it down and not pick it up for days. How can any book even remotely compare to these? The answer is they can't.

So please keep the blog full of great stuff! Even if I can't comment everyday, I do need it! Thank you for all the time you put into it!

Im curious where you would list me- I see myself about a #3.5-#4- at least right now, sometimes I drop, I don't know if I can ever get up to #5. I really wish I could be there on Saturday. I'll call when I get home from the Baptism. Thanks for all- I love your comments and thoughts- and to know that we can share. I love all the creativity that goes in this Blog! Thanks friends!

Jillike - you can totally be a 4. You have certainly proved yourself. So you are like a Cullen cousin, kay? Thanks for liking it for you and not just because you have to because you love me. I weep for you for Saturday but you are first on the borrow list.

Jillybean, I would love it if you got to Village Inn at 9:00 and got a table. Perfect. I need to be done at a reasonable time too. That would help Dazzled as well. I'll let you know Friday night how many to plan on.

RWV it is so lovely to have Twilight back on high. Do you think you have had a day since August without a Twilight thought?

I would consider myself a 3/4. At times I drop to a 3, but as the time grows closer to BD, I find myself constantly looking online for things, mostly here on the blog. But I vear to other sites occationally. And there are not words to express my thanks TM for keeping us so up to date. I am half way through The Host and I am amazed at Stephanie's ability to write. It sucks you in in a different way, but I cannot put it down. So I am behind on the Twilight reading. But I will catch up, I can promise you that. I wish to be there on Saturday, but we came up this last weekend, and I don't think Chris will allow me to drive up for a quick breakfast with you guys. I will try to convince him. We'll see. I will be there in spirit no matter what.

I'll be there. I'm trying to get my SIL to come too.

Think I am about a 4.5 - my blog time has decreased, but I readily admit that I am a fanatic. Have to reign myself in when others start talking who are not so addicted. Caught myself driving poorly yesterday because I was trying to see the model number on the Volvo I passed.

Anyone else thinking they need pie with breakfast?

BTY, I really like the new movie-Edward picture!

lioness said...

We might change location to somewhere more private. I will let everyone know tonight by phone or email.

Trish said...

Love the new picture too! And of course reading over the letter "B" Twilight related things!

Maybe with our group getting bigger, it might be a good idea to get take out and find somewhere a little more private???

Okay changing location. Meet at Paradise Bakery (10500 south, state) at 9:00 and order breakfast to go. Then we will go to my husbands office. He has a nice conference room noone will be using. I will send the address in an email to y'all.
