Important TWILIGHT reminder
Breaking Dawn, you can still call and order them!
The Sandy Barnes 'n Noble number is: 233-0203
Also, TM/MA is planning to post a WEEKLY schedule for our group reading, starting no later than May 18th (but probably earlier, since I know she is already having a hard time waiting)! So mark your calendars, and gear up for another great reading of our FAVORITE series!
She will then post on the chapters. But feel free to post any and everything if you beat her to it...not reading ahead of course! Yeah - I'm so excited!!!

4/26 - Weekend News
Okay, one more quick update!
1. The biggest, best news! The first Twilight Movie trailer, they are calling it a teaser trailer, whatever that means, is coming out May 9 with the movie Speed Racer. I like having spoilers, but I side with all the big sites that I won't be posting pirated stills of the trailer. I want to experience that one like it was meant to be.
2. The Lexicon has its own interview with Jasper/Jackson: http://www.twilightlexicon.com/Interviews/Jackson%20Rathbone%20Interview.pdf
3. It seems every site online but us has been invited to the movie set. Go to the sites below you want to see more pictures of Robert in plaid flannel. Good grief it does remind us he is only playing Edward. Even though Alice picks out his clothes, you know Edward would have the sense not to wear what Robert is wearing here. It is cold there, I need to remember he is just tyring to be comfortable. But I have seen better looking plaid shirts in my time. Any way pictures and reports from these random visits can be found on:
http://twilightmomsforums.unrealblogs.com/ or http://www.hisgoldeneyes.com/.There are pictures of the dress shop and the Italian restaurant (totally wrong again) here:
http://www.hisgoldeneyes.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=48
And something with an ambulance and body bag, and jazz like that ( I know one of the producers said this movie is one of the closest to accurate adaptions of a book he has ever seen, so I guess we should be thrilled with the few parts that are correct.) You'll have to do a little of your own research on those. I just glanced at them and didn't feel they were worthy of big notice.
3. Also don't miss the "you know when you've been Dazzled Daily" There are some funny ones (besides mine, gulp) on there. http://twilightersanonymous.blogspot.com/2008/04/421-you-know-you-are-dazzled-daily-when.html
4. And we have pictures from the craft night posted now as well. See how cute you all are?http://twilightersanonymous.blogspot.com/2008/04/ta-craft-night.html
Have a wonderful weekend!

3. For total fun and fluff add onto our Twilight ABC list here:

4/24 - News of the Day
Here goes:
1. A cute interview with Jasper: Highlights include: "woof, woof" Ha ha, just kidding. In case you didn't remember my dog is named Jasper. https://createpdf.adobe.com/cgi-pickup.pl/PhasesJacksoninterview.pdf?BP=&LOC=en_US&CUS=0329566f0ad34929f92cd8a69647a306&CDS=480FD465-1E34-085C9C
2. A new article from TMF - about Twilight fans with long interview from he biggest fan-sites.
http://themovie-fanatic.com/exclusive_articles/film_focus/twilight_fandom_interviews/
I feel like my thoughts were plagiarized by the TwilightMoms creator (who obviously also stole my name) when she said:
- " I have never been affected by a book like this before. There have been a handful of books that have impacted my life but none that has turned my life upside down." Well it could have been me saying that. We may not be the biggest fan site, but we are certainly the funniest/deepest/tastefully enthusiastic. Right?
- "Twilight is actually the 14th most searched movie on the internet according to IMDbPro’s moviemeter. Twilight ranks higher than Sex and the City: The Movie, The Incredible Hulk, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Speed Racer, and even Indiana Jones 4. Even more surprising is that the film’s 18 listed cast members make up most of the top 30 searched stars on the web."
4. MSN has 3 articles on Twilight
- Twilight shines on Pattinson: http://movies.msn.com/movies/hitlist/04-22-08_2?
- Vampires get romantic: http://movies.msn.com/movies/hitlist/04-22-08?silentchk=1&
- Hardwicke seduced by Twilight: http://movies.msn.com/movies/hitlist/04-22-08_3
I loved the Catherine article. The first paragraph talks about how she chose to direct Twilight.
5. Stephenie, the Lexicon, and Borders are BFF (one of the few letter codes I know). There are some amazing interviews video interviews with Ms. SM. http://www.bordersmedia.com/shows/borderspresents/meyer.asp

Back to Basics- Twilight ABC's
So I thought we had better brush up on our Twilight basics. To count down the days - lets create a Twilight alphabet. (thanks to Jillikie for the idea) We are a little behind so this week we will catch up. Submit as many Twilighty words per letter that your brain can come up with. Then I will compile the list at the end and we can publish it for our posterity.
For example: The letter A: Alice If you miss a few days, please fill in, just don't go ahead. Have fun!
- Thurs.: A & B
- Fri: C & D
- Sat: E
- Sun: F
- Mon: G

A HUGE MILESTONE - ONLY 100 Days until the Conclusion of our favorite Fairy Tale!
This moment had to be celebrated. I had lots to do so figured I might as well be up to celebrate. This is much better than New Years. There are also 25 days until we start reading the saga together! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait! Do not worry ladies. I have been doing some glorious quote research and did not once picture Kristin or Robert or even Ashley for Alice. The books remain pure in my mind. Gear up but practice discipline too. The plan is to read them slowly. Chapter by chapter. We can do it. Work on a cheer for that BFB. RWV and Cullenwhatever, you two work on a gang name for those who participate, and threats for those who don't. Ha, ha.

4/22 - Quotes of the Week
I had so much fun with Erin's quote last week that it gave me an idea. A little over-the-top idea, but you surely realize who you are dealing with at this point. So to shake things up a little bit, there are no assigned quotes. But each person can only guess on 1 per day, but in any order. This was so fun researching. Hopefully the theme for these quotes will be obvious:
- Unguessed quotes will remain in italics.
- "Which one is the boy with the reddish brown hair?"
- ". . . closing his eyes again and pressing his lips against my hair."
- "He pulled the end of my ponytail and chuckled."
- "I prefer brunettes."
- "I let my cheek press against his hair, felt the texture of it on my skin, . . ."
- "Was this why she let her tresses fan out between us?"
- ". . . catching between his fingers a strand that was fluttering in the light breeze."
- " . . .his free hand twisted into my hair and held my face securely to his."
- "-- partially obscured by a tangle of rain-darkened bronze hair . . ."
- " My heart spluttered hyperactively."
- " . . . his hair wind-blown from running."
- " . . . and it was very distracting."
- "To my shock, cascades of curls tumbled out."
- ". . . watching the sun and wind play in his bronze hair, more human than any other part of him."
- "It took a great deal of effort just to force my hands to free themselves from his hair . . ."
Bonus:"Your hair looks like a haystack . . . but I like it."

TA Craft Night
So we didn't talk enough about Twilight for my taste, but it was a very Twilighty evening.
Cyndee we can't wait to see the picture, or send it to me and I'll post it.
I think it would be fun to see if everyone can remember at least one of someone else's goals before they die. Of course we know what Bella wants most. No kidding there.
A last few notes:
*We missed terribly our BFB and Dazzled.
*We wish Ruth could fly over for a visit.
*We also wish some of our mystery visitors would give in and share the love.
*I do like the movie, I'm just constantly re-disappointed at some things. That doesn't mean the movie wont be super. So don't be shy movie lovers. I'm with you, really.
*Also I don't want Jacob to die, and I like him.
*Did we miss hearing Jill Cluff's blog name? If so, the cute girl in the skirt, sitting at the card table with the gangsta sisters, is Jillybean.

4/18 News of the Day
Okay, over reacting here, but it is ALL wrong. But you are all welcome to like it, or even love it. In fact I am sure it will be just fine in the movie. Too bad they can't make the movie like the book it is based on. Here is the link to a summary and pictures:

A foreshadowing quote?
Most of you know this, but when Stephenie originally wrote Twilight, she continued the story in a book called Forever Dawn. Most of FD is incorporated into Breaking Dawn, but much of the story changed when New Moon and Eclipse were born. Did you also know that in SM's original version of Twilight Bella and Edward are engaged at the end. It's true. (Want more details on that, just ask)
"I wouldn't describe myself as an unnaturally morbid person, or even especially depressed. Still, consistent, overflowing happiness has never been one of my dominant character traits, either. I wasn't quite sure what to do with my blissful self these days..."

Theories, and theories, and theories . . .
Will the Volturi be wiped out?
Will Charlie get a love interest?
Will Billy keep his mouth shut?
Alphie, of the Lexicon, was granted the privilege of reading the first 2/3rd of BD. She says that in all the theories she has heard, no one had hit on the "be all, end all, moment" or maybe she said event. Well it gets painful for me to speculate on this, but I'll try and be a big girl about it. What could that mean?
Please add more theories to the comments.

4/16 News of the Day
First there is music. Hooray. Some flaws though. The same song starts over and over again every time you go to a link and come back. You can fast forward songs. I will be adding many more over time. If anyone knows a better music widget let me know. The first song that plays is my new favorite TW song. I'll explain later what it means to me. Yippee.
There is a new video interview with Robert and Catherine. It's great. The first link is to the video, and the second is to the article that goes with it.

The Wedding Discussion post is now available. Look for it.
New quotes will be posted later today.
And lastly - if any of you research sleuths dig up the latest movie news, please wait to reveal it. We have our own insider and she is waiting to post all the details she has learned. We can't wait Jill.

You Know You Are Addicted to Twilight When . . .
. . .you get into a fight with a 14 year old over who is better for Bella, Edward or Jacob .
March was a very twilightee month. I had many twilight moments. I saw 57 Volvos, 5 of them were shiny silver ones. I converted 4 people to the “cullen” religion, I have 3 more converts in the works. One of my converts lives close to the movie filming and has agreed to try and scope things out for me. In return, I purchased and sent her the first book. I rode many times in a stupid shiny Volvo owners car (Angie). My ability to find something during any conversation with any person into a twilight moment has increased to 97%. I changed my desktop picture 12 times, all with pictures of Edward.
Monthly accomplishments, milestones achieved
I read Twilight 3 times & New Moon and Eclipse 2 times. I dreamt about Edward 31 nights of March. I designed 10 stickers and 6 blocks, all twilight themed.
Next month’s goals
Find my own Edward. (Any assistance would be appreciated, since I haven’t been able to do this on my own)
Get Eclipse back from Angies daughter and read it again.
Turn 40, but be forever 17.
Get my nose pierced.

TA Get Together?
Well, for anyone still interested (is anyone?), we are going to get together this month and talk about our favorite thing. We'll discuss Breaking Dawn theories! No pressure, truly, but we're still planning on this Thursday April 10th. If anyone really is interested in coming, and can't make it this week, we'd be willing to postpone it until next Thursday the 17th. (Actually the 17th is out! Waaah. Sorry. The other option is Friday the 18th. ) Depending on how many people RSVP to this post, or to MA by personal email is how we'll decide where to meet. Whether at someone's home (anyone willing to host?), or meeting for a late dinner somewhere. That will be decided in a few days. Of course we'd love to see everyone, but only come if you want, and we won't feel bad if you don't, only for what you miss out on! Talk to you all later, TAers.

4/6 Movie News Galore!
April 9
Here is a link to an Entertainment Tonight's, behind the scenes of Twilight clip. It's really short to watch, but also very fun! Especially the little bit of Edward and James they show, the action looks great! Check it out.

Taylor/Jacob is looking better all the time. Here is a video interview from the set:
http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/04/08/exclusive-first-look-footage-reveals-jacob-black-from-twilight/
April 7 -
This is old news but I haven't had a chance to post it. There is a great article about the movie being made. Here are a few highlight. Its one of the best articles I have read yet:
Interviewer: Having observed them throughout the day, their family-like qualities go beyond their acting. The Cullen actors were always talking, holding hands, laughing, and fooling around with one another.
Directing a film like this is exciting for any director, but Hardwicke is one who can embrace the content especially. "I got swept away, how it would be to be a teenage girl that's so obsessive and so in love with this guy," She even hints that she's aware of some little bits in the fourth and final novel from Bella's perspective, Breaking Dawn. "At least I know it, it's in my head. I'm sure it helps give me a little, you know, a little deeper perspective." Furthermore, Stephenie has given her bits of Midnight Sun, and she has made strides to use that knowledge in the film.
And even though we didn't have the chance to interview Kristen Stewart because of her classes, Hardwicke had some positive things to say about her. "You feel like she can be this girl that this family of cultured interesting vampires would be able to love her because she's so deep. She and Rob too have gotten so far into it and trying to understand and be these characters. I mean it's radical. They're living and breathing these characters."
Here is the link to the entire article: http://www.darkhorizons.com/news08/twilight.php
April 6 - The Swan Residence. Really it's perfect. For more, try this link but these often change so good luck.
http://twilightmomsforums.freeforums.org/the-swan-residence-t5209.html
April 5 - Stephenie "stars" in Twilight. Well not quite. Here is an official statement from Summit about that.
"While expressing his excitement for Stephenie’s support of the film, a member of the film production staff inadvertently told an MTV reporter about Stephenie’s cameo appearance. There was no malicious intent by either party to “steal Stephenie’s thunder”. Of course Summit is sorry for the story being accidentally leaked to the press before Stephenie was able to do so. But being that it was an accident Stephenie is ok with the events that transpired."
Also, here is a statement in a report about the cafe that is the setting for SM's appereance.
"A scene from Twilight involving Bella, Charlie, and several Forks High students was filmed at the cozy and quaint Carver Cafe this week. And to answer your question, no you are not crazy; this is not a part of the book. It is however an important and pivotal scene in the movie that shows the conflict Bella is feeling over her not-so-normal relationship with Edward. It is also the place she bonds with Charlie."
April ? - If you die to see every photo of the set, here are some good ones. The students of Forks seem to be getting on a bus?
